“Shatera absolutely earned a five-star review from me! I ordered the Beef Shawarma Plate, and it was an incredibly filling and flavorful meal. The plate came loaded with marinated beef shawarma served over a generous portion of seasoned rice, along with hummus, fresh salad, pita bread, pickled vegetables, and garlic sauce.

The beef was tender, well-seasoned, and covered with just the right amount of sauce. It had plenty of flavor without being overly salty or greasy. The rice underneath soaked up the juices from the meat and made every bite even better. I also really enjoyed the hummus, which was smooth, creamy, and finished with olive oil and seasoning. It tasted especially good with the warm pita bread.

The salad added a fresh and refreshing contrast to the beef and rice. It had cucumbers, tomatoes, red onions, greens, and feta cheese, and everything tasted crisp and fresh. The pickled vegetables added a nice tangy kick that helped balance the entire plate.

The portion size was extremely generous, especially for the price. You definitely won’t leave hungry! Everything on the plate worked well together, and it was easy to tell that the ingredients were fresh and prepared with care.

If you enjoy Mediterranean food, I highly recommend trying the Beef Shawarma Plate at Shatera. It was delicious, satisfying, and easily one of the best meals I had during my visit. I would absolutely return!“

“I have been eating at Cava since 2018 in Austin. Came here and I know it hasn't been opened long but y'all need to do better training your people. We ate here 8/28/26 at 8:30 pm and there was a line and this guy was busy cleaning the salad area while we waited. Then when I asked for a bowl with power greens, he gave me the wrong salad mix even when I told him that it was the wrong salad. No big deal. But then we got to the meats and the meatballs were burned and flat. Not appetizing looking. We also didn't get offered pita bread. I had to ask for them. Hope it was just a busy night. Food was still good.“

“Felt like something wholesome and Mediterranean. My wife suggested we try the Feta Cowboy. A fusion pita falafel meets Southwest concept in Chandler. I looked over the menu and was drawn to the Kimchee Brisket Burrito filled with Brisket, Calrose rice, Romano beans, sweet potatoes, FC pomegranate BBQ sauce, chili oil, kimchi-cabbage, Monterey Jack cheese, and harissa vinaigrette stuffed in a flour burro tortilla! I did not even finish half of this belt buster! My wife loved her build a bowl! Loved the Prickly Pear/Hibiscus/Pomegranate teas as well.

“The wife and I accidentally found this place, which is located in the Baiz market. The market is a mix of a multicultural market featuring Afghan, Arab, Turkish, Persian, and other regional cultures. I love the market by the way. So many awesome things to look at and we bought some Turkish coffee and the pot to make it in. Yummy.
The wife got the chicken shawarma. She said a little bland and a little on the dry side but otherwise it was good.
I got the Iraqi kebab. The meat was seasoned well. The rice was a little dry. The humus tasted really good and also got the Baba Ganoush which is smokey and very flavorful.

Malki, the owner, was working as usual and wearing many hats. She prepared the chicken shawarma as if she’d made it hundreds of times. It was quick and many others were right behind me waiting to put in. An order for the famous wrap. I like everything on it and extra spicy with the secret sauce. Pure deliciousness in every bite.
