“From the veal soup to the slow cooked lamb shank, everything is made from scratch. You can taste the authenticity. The pita bread is unlike any other and perfect with the Cevapi sausages and roasted red pepper sauce....our favorite. And don't forget to try a freshly prepared dessert or two. On our last visit, we were served after the noontime rush and the owner had a moment to sit and visit at our mostly Croation table. She shared with us her passion for creating these dishes and explained how it truly comes from her heart. This is a small family-owned business (she proudly introduced her grandson, son, and daughter-in-law) and exactly the kind of restaurant we enjoy supporting. We highly recommend one of our favorite dining experiences in Phoenix!“
“This was my first visit and it clearly will NOT be my last! We entered and the restaurant was clean, not much decorum but simple and welcoming. The food , hummus chicken shawarma and rib-eye platter was delicious, tasty flavorful and fresh. The service was friendly, quick and accommodating. A great addition to our Kosher restaurant choices!!!“
“Amazing food! Quality was on point! Hot and fresh. Very good ingredients. Large portion size for the cost. Very busy and you can tell loyal customers! When a place has no seat open on lunch time on a Thursday.. you know they are doing something right. Wait staff was friendly! Bible verse on the door.. love it. Traditional feel. All around very good experience! Will definitely be back! :)“
“This place not only serves the best Greek food in Phoenix, it has the best atmosphere. It’s a family owned and operated restaurant that makes everyone feel welcome. It’s like eating at someone’s house and they cater to your every need. The owner and his two sons provide nothing but the best service, ingredients, and attitude. Our 5 year old is obsessed with going here now and we try to make it a once a week thing now. He loves that the owner breaks plates in the kitchen and yells OPA!“
“Delicious!!!! My first time trying and as soon as I opened it the aroma let me know everything I needed to know!!! Chicken grilled to perfection, fresh toppings, and the sauce was A1. Y’all it was so good I couldn’t even think to take a picture. Will definitely be going here often you hear me! Can’t wait to try their different items.I got the classic gyro/pita with chicken and extra taziki sauce. Btw :)“
“I’m known as Arizona’s #1 unpaid food guru and I must say this place is the best Mediterranean restaurant in Phoenix. The chicken shawarma sandwich was outstanding and their gyro meat is excellent. Oh, and get some of their amazing garlic sauce on the side!!! Fabulous place.“
“Just found this place recently, and I'm not normally a fan of shawarma, but their chicken shawarma made me a fan! The garlic sauce that goes on it kicks it up even more! Their baklava is also really good! Some strong aromatics of rose water and/ or cardamom.“
“This was my first time here, and me and my family loved it! The food was amazing, and the waiters here are super nice! Me and my wife got hookah and it was, wonderful. My phone was dead and one of the waiters were nice enough to let me use their charger! 10/10 recommend ? well be coming back for sure :)“
“I had a fantastic dining experience at crown restaurant , a charming Middle Eastern restaurant. The warm greeting, cozy ambiance, and delicious mixed grill platter made for a memorable visit. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for authentic Middle Eastern cuisine with impeccable service. I can't wait to go back and try more of their mouthwatering dishes.“
“This place was definitely a find! I had a Gyro plate and a pistachio baklava, both some of the best I've come across so far! Flavor was well executed and the portions were definitely filling. Highly recommend, definitely worth coming back!“
“I have been going here to get some great food for about 23 years. Awesome customer service, always am remebered, and affordable prices. Will always be my go to for a yummy salad, gyro, or pita. They have lots of options. My fav is a steak pita add feta. Their tzatziki is the best and it's the one I compare to with others ... but nothing else has beat it. (Get a side for dipping, so good with the fries!) Thanks for all you do King Gyros!“
“I will always be a loyal customer of JJs Gyros! I started coming in there maybe 5 or so years ago with my boyfriend, and no other gyro place compares! Jj and his wife are always so personable when you come in to their restaurant. Always make me feel so welcome and the food is even better ! We moved to the Buckeye area so we don’t get to go to JJs as much , but I’ll travel 2 hours round trip whenever I can for JJs Gyros ! It’s that good!“
“Consistently Great Tasting Food! Great Seafood! Such tasty shrimp, skate and mussels. Very Tasty Navarro Grain Bowl. Also Claudio’s Schiaccia (flatbread) with his tasty soups or sandwiches are Delizioso!!! If you haven’t tried, NOW is your chance. Delizioso!!!“
“Jt gyros has left the best impressions. It was a great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming. Amazing gyros and hummus with beef shawarma was superb. Staff are extremely knowledgeable and make great recommendations. Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant. The service is unmatched, If I could give more than a 5 star I definitely would:)“
“This place is to die for, me and my fiancé came to have a meal and I absolutely will be back. He’s Arabic and really enjoys his Mediterranean food, and he even agreed it’s some of the best he’s had in the states. The atmosphere is nice and the food came out quick. So happy with the experience we will be back.“
“If I can give this place more stars I would the food is amazing the service is outstanding very friendly almost like a A NeighborThat you’ve grown up with andThey always feed you as growing up fresh amazing food takes a bit of time to eat but that’s ok because there making it fresh for you very clean spot as well man I love this place get the number 2 combo trust me“
“Grocery store is still open but a fire closed the restaurant portion of the business. Lots of different options in the grocery that you won't find in the regular supermarkets, great place to pick up authentic ingredients to make your own meals at home!“
“Randomly this place has hands down the nest french fries in town for the best price as well. If you are sensitive about your fries, the beat Macdonalds, In and Out, Five Guys , etc. Imagine Macdonalds fries at their best then double frie them so you have thay hot core starchy mouth feel combined with an extra crunchy but not burnt exterior lightly salted and seasoned. A surprisingly excellent find at a Middle Eastern/Mediterranean food fast serve spot. Eat them there for best results.Excellent food and value. The special rice, the chicken kabob meat. shwarma, the lamb kafta etc are all excellent for the price. Easily can feed 2 adults by ordering 1 entree and add on some sides like hummus and tzatziki sauce. Salads are fresh and with meat, so say the shwarma salad, plenty for 2 adults and price wise cant be beat at lunch. The hummus tastes ultra fresh and likely made in house. The meats are tender and well seasoned. Two entrees and sides were about $40 at lunch which actually is enough for 4 adults or take home, so we had leftovers for 2 extra meals. Very healthy and great value. The service was good, the atmosphere leaves a little to be desired in that it is no frills, not unclean or anything just a little darker inside and in a strip mall so don't expect a fancy date place, it's a fast serve, healthy, great value Mediterranean food place. If you want a high-end date place for Middle Eastern food, the Persian Room is comparable food but allot more expensive so go there for environment and get the Persian platter but go here for your nightly or daily fix. Lunch provides the best value.“
“We are from California and we stopped to eat dinner at family fattoush tonight and we got surprised when we tried the food that was very very delicious plus the service was awesome too , the owner very nice person and his daughter too , I really recommend the restaurant and the nice outdoor patio area they have with the good vibes.“
“Throughout my life I have been blessed to have great leaders and bosses that have done more than just lead me in the workplace. They have been advisors, friends, and even a needed voice of reason in a crisis. Joseph fits this roll as a boss and owner ten folds. He displayed integrity, hard work, and discipline in the workplace that rippled into everyone’s lives to help us better ourselves. He has sacrificed time with his family and is his personal life to be a helping friend in times of need and a leader not only for myself but for the rest of the team at Bowl Of Greens. I am truly sad to see him leave us but I know he will be a blessing to people where ever he goes. He is one of the best men I’ve ever had the opportunity to call my friend and boss. If you have the opportunity to work for this man I would advise not to pass it up!“
“Ordered online for early morning take out as we headed out of town but the man working was so accommodating and allowed our family of 5 to sit and eat (didn’t realize it was sit down). So friendly, great portions and great breakfast! Thanks for starting our road trip off on a great note!“
“Grabbed a chicken pita on my way to my son's lacrosse game. Delicious!! Great food. I think I was served by the owner, or manager (very nice guy). I highly recommend. Wish it was closer to home.Wheelchair accessibility: Bit of a lip getting in“
“I went to this place with one of my friends. From the outside and inside it looks like an ordinary restaurant but their food was extraordinary!!! Their falafel sandwich, more like a wrap was delicious. My friend and I both loved the food, we both ordered the vegetarian item falafel sandwich.Vegetarian options: You should ask for the vegetarian options“
“Lines extending out the door 10 minutes before they even open. Seemed like authentic food before actually ordering given the demand and long lines. Only to confirm that it was pretty authentic. Hole in the wall kind of place but delicious food.“
“The freshest ingredients you'll get at any restaurant around town. With some of the tastiest pizzas, healthiest and heartiest salads, and friendliest staff, you are missing out if you don't go to George's on a regular basis!!!“
“This was a pleasant surprise. When walking in you anticipate a typical fast casual restaurant but then you greeted by what I presume to be is a family preparing Mediterranean food. Everything was delicious from the chicken Shawarma to the canoe breads to salads. We absolutely enjoyed this place and would definitely go back.“
“There's a restaurant, bakery and grocery store in one. The food is delicious and so are the desserts. The owner is super friendly! I definitely want to come back and gey desserts.Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options like the falafel platter or falafel shawarma.“
“This place is so bomb I love all the food here and the employees are super sweet and patient when I'm deciding what to get since it takes me forever because I just love it all so I truly appreciate them being so kind ❤️ ?? Check this place out next time you wont be “
“Absolutely amazing atmosphere, the server and staff were so friendly and quick! Fresh and simple ingredients!! Had a woodfire pizza and it was delicious! Their cocktails are creative. & delicious!! I’m so glad I found this gem while waking downtown! Definitely gonna be back!“
“This was such a cute spot in downtown Phx! The restaurant was super accommodating with my reservation and even was able to add to my already large party when I got to the restaurant! The service was great, loved the martinis (def try the lavender one, it was so good!). The food was also great and there was a lot of variety so that every girly with dietary restrictions was still able to find something they liked! The appetizers were also large and they were great to feed the table. Recommend the rosemary and sweet potato fries! We also loved the buffalo cauliflower. It looks like this place is a great brunch spot too, we came for dinner but will definitely be checking it out again for brunch!“
“I have eaten here a number of times. The owner is of Afghan and Indian descent. The food is great and I recommend the Kabab Combo Plate. They have the best falafel in town and I crave it about once a week. This is our go to for gyros but the rice and falafel are what brings us back.“
“Best Greek Food in the valley!!! You could get a side of their Tzatziki, bring it home, put it on cardboard and it would be the best cardboard you ever ate!! Seriously though, big portions, amazing food, fair prices!! You won't be sorry!!!“
“You wont find a lot of places like this in america. Most restaurants give you terrible meat with an uncooked pita wrap hoping the overportioned tziki sauce will save the food (it doesnt). These guys actually COOK THE FOOD and USE ACTUAL ARABIC SPICE MIXES. These guys also roast their meat to perfection to where you wont even need sauce. just order a pita, chicken shwarma, and some barberries and you're good to go.Staff is nice too and the environment is extremely comfy during lunch. Been three years since I've been here so I dont have any pictures.“
“A couple of days ago I ordered lunch for 30 people, and these guys truly out did themselves. A variety of pita sandwiches, which where filled to the max and delicious. And an amazing Greek salad with dressing. Everybody loved it and everyone asked where I ordered the food from. Thank you.“
“The food rocks every time we go there. The chicken pasta salad, those thin cracker crust pizzas you offer, other items knock it out of the park. You guys do a great job back in the kitchen and every server we have had represents you guys well! You have a great staff! THANKS and keep it going.“
“Mmmm hmmm. I love my gyros. Tried a bunch of spots here and there in the valley. I have to say this is the best one yet. The fries with the meal was just as awesome. The sauce to top it off was delish as well. Got my girl to try the chicken shawarma and surprisingly she loved it. Hands down good spot. I will be back, believe that.“
“love this restaurant!! the service is always great and the food is incredible. especially great when sitting outside. we have been here for brunch, lunch, and dinner. all were great! the scallop spaghetti was really good for dinner! the chocolate dessert was very good. overnight oats are incredible for breakfast!!“
“- Asafir Restaurant, your gateway to authentic Somali cuisine!- The warm ambiance and friendly staff create an inviting atmosphere for food enthusiasts.- Their signature dish, a staple in Somali cuisine - Rice with Goat Meat.- The perfectly cooked rice, paired with tender goat meat, creates a symphony of flavors that will transport you straight to the heart of Somalia.“
“This place is to die for, me and my fiancé came to have a meal and I absolutely will be back. He’s Arabic and really enjoys his Mediterranean food, and he even agreed it’s some of the best he’s had in the states. The atmosphere is nice and the food came out quick. So happy with the experience we will be back.“
“The gryos tasted different the last time I was there. I think the tzat tziki sauce recipe might have changed. It was good enough, though. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself is a little bit Spartan-esque but very serviceable. Overall, a decent experience.“
“It was good. Change of pace from loud establishments. Good customer service. The bartender was our server. I'm not completely certain but i believe the food was more plant based (Mediterranean or Middle Eastern) but very tasty. I would go again. I have dietary concerns, my grandchild is a natural (out of the womb) vegan/vegetarian (does not like meat of any type) they offer a very healthy meal choice for the children unlike other restaurants. I was really impressed. We ate our fill at the table, boxed the remaining food & i ate off of my lunch for 3 more meals. That's a good value. I got the avocado, quinoa salad & added ahi tuna for a total of $20. But i ate 3-4 meals out of it. I would return if i weren't leaving the area.“
“I really enjoyed my pita bowl! The hummus was very good, and I was able to select from so many different items to get what I really enjoyed. I like the chicken Shawarma, it was delicious. I also really enjoyed my baklava the square one more than the Ladyfinger one. I will definitely be going back here because it is close to work.“
“New update!I love this store! I've been eating here for years! I moved away for about 5 and came back, it was still here!I'm not really a fan of normal gyro places sauce...But this place has a garlic sauce that hits the freaking spot! Plus the meat is always so tender, perfect, and packed in there!? ?This post was over 8 years ago!"Amazing! Always quick service amazing food and a unique atmosphere!"“
“Another excellent dinner! Koobideh, beef barg and my favorite, chicken tenders. Everything was so delicious and full of flavor. The beef was tender and moist. Love the new aluminum containers. Maybe a little lightweight to hold your generous portions! Take a look at Unlimited Bag & Supply. They are local and might have other options. Thanks for making dinner easy and delicious! Hasmik & Tony are awesome!“
