My daughter was recently diagnosed with celiac disease—ordering at restaurants has been scary and a big hassle. From the moment we walked in, the man behind the counter made us feel welcomed and confident we wouldn’t get glutened. My daughter could order anything she wanted! Sweet Impastries Gluten-Free Bakery is a top tier, celiac safe bakery with the BEST flavor options and the happiest people running the place. Entering the bakery, customers are greeted with a sweet, delicious aroma of fresh baked cookies. The employees are helpful, nice, and informative. The location provides easy access in and off Val Vista and/or Elliot Rd, with convenient parking and reasonable prices.
The menu offers many choices including bread, baguettes, cakes, cookies, brownies, and cinnamon rolls. The dinner rolls and cinnamon rolls are highly recommended; even non-gf family loves them. The apple cinnamon roll is a shining star, with perfectly sweet apples and a fluffy roll that melts in the mouth. The classic cinnamon roll is the same without apples. The carrot cake is praised as CHEFS KISS, very moist and soft. Cookie bites are rich and bite sized. The red velvet cookie is very soft and chewy. Snickerdoodle cookies are described as SOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD, with a little graininess outweighed by cinnamon and sugar. The peanut butter chocolate rookie is HEAVEN. The original cheesecake is tasty.
Some items, like the vegan carrot muffin and red velvet muffin, were noted to have subtle flavors. The chocolate chip cookie was liked, though some preferred it without the chocolate dip. Overall, customers are appreciative for a fully GF bakery and plan to return for items like the brownies covered in carmel.
