They ignored reservation notes asking to be sat outside and didn't recognize my wife's Birthday. They did accommodate moving outside. When dinner was served we never saw anyone again. No one asked about quality of food (undercooked) and after we were finished they realized no one brought out the wine we ordered. We asked for check and ran back to resort which was phenomenal. Stick with the hotel amenities here is our recommendation.

Our server was top notch and the food was amazing. You made the birthday lunch very special - thanks!!

This golf course restaurant at Dove Mountain is an absolute hidden gem. The patio alone is worth the visit with the most breathtaking sunsets over the course. The menu is just as impressive. There's truly something for everyone from classic favorites to creative, unique dishes you won't find at your typical clubhouse grill. What really sets this place apart, though, is the staff. Warm, welcoming, and always accommodating, they strike the perfect balance between professional and personable. You feel genuinely taken care of from the moment you walk in.

Clayton's was an amazing experience! The food was great and the scenery was breathtaking! We would definitely recommend it!

Five stars are normally reserved for fine dining. However, I believe today's dining experience has been redefined. This restaurant fires on all cylinders. Attentive service, beautiful atmosphere either inside or on the patio, urban bistro type food, prepared beautifully, and fresh. Our group shared several appetizers, including the andouille sausage corn dogs, Shishito peppers, quail, and their beautiful loaf of bread. All were delicious. For the main course, our table had pork ribs, and cheese burgers. Beautifully done and totally delicious. Only downside might be their wines by the glass. Very limited and just an OK selection. But I strongly recommend this restaurant.

The menu had recently changed, and I ordered the baby back ribs. One rack was fine; the other was dry and obviously overcooked based on the burned edges. There was not enough sauce on the ribs and I had to ask for a side of sauce. The sauce helped, but it was strange to have an overcooked piece of meat at a usually great restaurant.

The atmosphere and service were impeccable, but the food was lacking. They stated they are working on some menu changes. I hope to try them again once the menu is perfected. Until then, the food does not match the service that you receive.

Overall great experience and service. This was our first time dining here and we ordered calamari for appetizer and our main meals were Aged Ribeye, Chicken Diane, and burger. The breading used for the fried calamari tastes good, little greesey but the dip hid some of the greasy flavor. Main dishes all prepared as we asked. Aged ribeye didn't have an aged taste but did taste good. It came with broccoli and had a garlic seasoning and had a crisp taste, texture. Chicken Diane was okay. The cream sauce was overpowered by a wine taste, over powering the mushrooms. Chicken was tender and moist. Came with French fries. Burger is huge, had to ask for a steak knife to cut it in half. Juicy and flavors were great. One of our guest celebrated a birthday and was given a tiramisu dessert. It was in a circular deep cup, very creamy and has a tiramisu taste just wet at the bottom. We will revisit to try other items. Great environment, clean, service is amazing. Great views! Hard to find if you are not familiar with the property. Signage is limited, and the building is hidden from the parking lot. We saw a tiny sign blocked by a Saguaro that was visible from a walkway but not the street. We noticed it as we were walking to the restaurant. Cayton's is across from the golf shop, park by the bag drop area.

We had a great dinner out on the patio the last time we stayed at the resort, and we were looking forward to coming back. This time we were really disappointed. We sat inside, and the interior ambience is not quite as nice (lighting is very bright). The food was good overall, but a little cold. The service was the worst part though. The staff were very nice, but they seemed overwhelmed/disorganized and forgot 3 separate items we requested (one was forgotten again after we reminded them). Then once we finished, someone dropped off a dessert menu but then did not come back to check on what we would like to order. When they did come back eventually we just asked for the check, because we were concerned about how long dessert might take. Maybe it was just an off night and they were understaffed, but I'm not sure I would come back again next time.

As guests of the resort, we thought we'd give Cayton's a try. Honestly, it was disappointing. The food was ok (not great, but ok), but the service was TERRIBLE. Our server managed to take our order and then we didn't see her again. We had to go hunt down our check in order to leave.

Anytime I am at Dove Mountain, Cayton's is my favorite restaurant. The patio offers a lovely view of the golf course and the food is excellent. Last Saturday night, my girlfriend and I shared a lovely meal. My hamburger and her steak were both cooked a perfect medium rare, as ordered. But the most impressive aspect of our dinner was the service. Amanda (our server) was incredibly friendly and helpful. She made us feel special and went above and beyond to ensure that we had a perfect evening. She succeeded. Thank you, Amanda!!

We have zero clue to why some of the negative reviews are posted here. We dined here 2 times for dinner and both were excellent all around experiences. Located at the Golf Club at Dove Mountain, we shuttled over from the Ritz. The best sunset views around! Both times we had a reservation and were seated at the table of our choice immediately. Inside is lovely with a stone fireplace, pretty lighting & rustic feel, outside has the beautiful golf/mountain views plus a fireplace, and on Sunday night they have live music. The service by all was excellent! It is exactly what you’d expect from a country club, always addressing you by last name, anticipating what we need before we had to ask, Serving from the left, clearing from the right, yet extremely friendly. Sunday evening is the BBQ which is a great deal at $29. It was very busy that night but no hiccups. The lobster risotto had more lobster in it that I’ve ever had. Claw meat galore and a huge tail on top. The short rib sandwich was huge and tasty. The burgers excellent. Chicken sandwich delish. Carrot cake yummy and moist. We had a bottle of Cabernet 1 night and it was delicious and priced well. Friday night they have a Fish Fry we’d like to try next visit. They have GF, NF, DF, V, and HF (hormone free) options on the menu. They don’t have a huge wine list… but they do have a huge tequila, bourbon list plus all the other cocktails a quality bar would have. Remember this is a Golf Club not a Country Club so it is more casual fare foods but all tasty and cooked perfectly. The setting can’t be beat. Our bill each night was around $200 and totally inline with our meal and experience.

Great patio sunset view with heaters and blankets, live music, food, and even better service from Amanda and Hugo! Celebrated my wife’s birthday and they made it special with gifts of dessert and champagne.
