The Kalbi beef is often called perfect, amazing, and "sooooooo good," with generous portions on plates like the Kalbi/garlic chicken plate. The garlic chicken hurricane style, Kalbi, garlic shrimp, and chicken are also very delicious. The garlic shrimp features huge shrimp, though some noted the shell remained on. The poke nachos have a generous portion of ahi. The staff is super friendly, with one employee noted as always kind and welcoming, remembering regular orders. However, some reviews mention the Kalbi was chewy with little meat, and fried malasadas were very greasy with bland filling. One traveler from Texas found the lady at the register not very friendly and wished daily specials like the Ribeye were first come, first served instead of reservable by phone. Despite mixed experiences, many guests plan to return, with one calling it "THE place" for Hawaiian food in Phoenix.
