“Food wasnt as good as I heard. The Kalbi was chewy and there wasnt much meat at all. The shrimp were huge but still had the shell on and they weren't cleaned ...no flavor once the shell was off. Wont be going back again beacuse there are much better places around.“

“My family and I have been coming to this place for a long time. The food is unbelievable, especially the steamed pork buns. I have seen the prices change as well and I’m writing this review because I asked for an extra scoop of rice which was placed into a separate container and probably was about 1/4 of a cup big. I was charged over three dollars for this scoop of rice and talking to one of the staff people mentioned that the owner will not change the price on the scoop of Rice. Apparently lots of customers complain about this. There should be another way to accommodate customers rather than charging them nearly 4 dollars for 1/4 of a cup of rice. Very disappointed. Although I will be back no matter what because this restaurant is one of my favorites out of all of the Hawaiian restaurants. They must’ve been shorthanded as well because I had to wait nearly 30 minutes for takeout and about five firefighters were told that they would have to wait 30 minutes and they had to leave.“

“I've been to this location a few different times, and the food has always been fantastic. I've had multiple of the dishes and never been disappointed. Meals come out fast and freshly hot, with filling and tasty options like the chicken katsu and crispy shrimp.

I've never liked macaroni salad because, in my experience, it is typically slimy and bland, but Ono's salad is the exception, and it's the first time I've wanted seconds. Another worthwhile side is the spam musubi, which is another example of the restaurant having better quality compared to the places I've visited with comparable options.

Ono doesn't serve fresh drinks; however, there is a cooler with appropriate Hawaiian beverages alongside the standard fountain machine. Customers can buy whole coconuts, and guava pies are sold as a dessert.

The interior design is simple but pleasant with hanging lights and a clean lobby with many seating options, including an outdoor patio. Tropical music is often played, and artificial flowers are at both the front and back of the restaurant. It feels humble, cozy, and distinct enough from other places even without having that many decorations.

It's a casual and cute place, and I'll be sure to stop by again for more rice and fish.“

“This is why I shop local!! Been meaning to check them out and I picked up a Maui plate with mac salad and katsu chicken after work. Best mac salad I've ever had and the katsu chicken was so well breaded and delicious. Also was super quick and the amount of katsu chicken I got for 12 bucks was amazing.“

“We were greeted with friendliness when we walked in the door. The items on the menu were diverse and creative, with a mix of more standard fare. The food was delicious with an enjoyable mix of seasoning and well cooked fare. The wait was appropriate for the cuisine. A wholly pleasing experience.“

“Went here 6/20/26 and got 2 bowls. The person doing my bowl seemed new and totally skimped me with toppings lol. Was also slightly rude when ringing up my parter and I. I usually get a fair amount of toppings which is fair for the price I’m paying. The bowl on the left was my bf’s. The person that made my boyfriend’s bowl was super friendly and gave a fair amount of toppings (seen in the crab portion). Was a little annoyed as i am regular customer and haven’t ever had a bowl with such small portions of toppings but overall I love Ahi Poki and typically have great service other than this time. :/“

“My son and i love this location, we've visited others and have left disappointed when we reach the rice and realize its not fully cooked. The rice is spot on and the portions are great, enough for my son and i to share! And the service was fast and knowledgeable.“

“Miss Ono Hawaiian BBQ is one of the best Hawaiian barbecues I've ever been to their food is exceptionally great and hot and tasty and the service is above and beyond and the manager Miss Torres was very helpful and kind to my elderly parents very helpful my parents love this place. I highly recommend this location to anybody seeking Hawaiian food.“
