Ono Hawaiian BBQ is a casual, counter-service restaurant that offers a variety of Hawaiian-inspired dishes. Many customers enjoy the food, especially the teriyaki chicken, which is often praised as the best by picky eaters and children. The menu includes popular items like spam musubi, macaroni salad, chicken katsu, and grilled chicken breast mini plates served with rice and mac salad. The teriyaki chicken is notably flavorful, and the chicken katsu is also well-liked. The macaroni salad is considered delicious by several reviewers, adding to the authentic Hawaiian experience.
While the food is generally good and satisfying, some customers feel it doesn't fully match traditional Hawaiian plate lunches. Service experiences vary; many find the place convenient and quick, especially for a fast meal, though some have noted longer wait times when ordering through self kiosks or at the cashier. Ordering online and picking up is recommended to avoid delays. The atmosphere is described as cute and suitable for a quick meal, and prices are considered reasonable.
There have been occasional issues with order accuracy and service, but overall, Ono Hawaiian BBQ is appreciated for its tasty food and relaxed vibe. It’s a good choice for those seeking a quick, flavorful meal that reminds them of home-cooked Hawaiian dishes.
