“Convenient Stop for Souvenirs with Fluffy Fry Bread.
Located right near Petrified Forest National Park, the Painted Desert Diner is a highly convenient stop during a day of exploring. The diner is exceptionally clean, making it a comfortable place to sit down, and it doubles as a great spot to shop for local souvenirs.During my visit, I ordered the fry bread. Visually, the dish looked incredibly appetizing, and the bread itself was beautifully fluffy. However, the overall flavor profile fell a bit flat, and the beans in particular lacked seasoning. Fortunately, they provide bottles of spicy sauce at the tables, which helped add a much-needed kick to the meal. While the food could use a bit more flavor depth, the clean environment, friendly convenience, and gift shopping make it a worthwhile pit stop when traveling through the park.”

“Pictures just cannot do the Painted Desert justice! We had a few extra hours while traveling to our destination and decided to drive through the park. So glad we did because it was hands down one of our favorites! Highly recommend!!”
