Loved having a great coffee shop next to our hotel! First time trying the nitro cold brew and it was fantastic. Smooth and creamy and could reallllly taste every bit of the coffee. Naturally I had to chase that with a breve cortado and I’m glad I did. It was bold and flavorful. The staff working was polite and seemed to be enjoying themselves. Thanks Cartel!
Not my favorite Cartel location, despite the nice midcentury modern details on the building. Something a bit unsettled about the space. I think mixed use luxury condos with coffee shops at the bottom are a plague upon this earth. If you close your eyes when you sit outside, you can kind of imagine the traffic rushing by as water.
First, I come to Cartel fairly often (a few times a month), and it’s consistently great every time. I typically pick up a bag of whole beans, which are always super fresh and roasted within the last few days. I also get a hot or iced latte, and that’s great as well.
