solid divey experience that feels homey. not middle of nowhere dive where machete man in the parking lots looking for you. nice selection of brews, nice bartender, i even didn’t mind the very bright christmas lights ( i take to lower lighting dives) but this place is cool. good stuff PHX

Dive bars are the best. But dive bars with live music take it another level. Chopper Johns has one of the most unique music scenes I have ever experienced in one night. The music went from sappy acoustic, to 50 year olds playing aggressive speed metal, to alternative rock. I absolutely love it. Drinks are cheap, the people are fun, and pool tables make everything great. Definitely give it a try.

Hands down, the best bar in the state. I've made life long friends here, always felt safe and comfortable. We all look out for each other here and I've been accepted like family. I love Sam and Addy as well as the whole crew who frequents here. The pool is awesome, the vibes are immaculate and this has been such a wonderful find being a mpls transplant and finding a cozy little home. Love you guys :) Rae & Ryan

Bar is ok not the best not the worst but a bartender here started bending my state Id and snapped it in half n just said oh that’s never happened before! Did nothing no oh my bad just broke my Id but still wanted me to buy a drink. Never again will I come here!
