Our first experience at Gertrude"s since Chef Mark Tarbell took over the operation. Service was outstanding, food was excellent, but the noise factor inside the restaurant was extreme. Please do something to lessen the noise so we can enjoy our next visit.
Used to be my favorite restaurant in Phoenix, I went out of my way to visit every time I was in town (live out of state). Restaurant service and atmosphere are still top tier, but the new owner completely changed the menu and the food is notably not as good.
Category: Garden Cafe. We’ve dined many times at this light, airy, modern, and almost always busy spot near the entrance of the Desert Botanical Garden, usually just before or immediately after an event at the Garden. A long bar borders one side of the dining room. Widows light the other. On this visit we sat on the large covered patio at one of the well-spaced tables.
