Older bar in downtown Phoenix near Chase Field. Ordered a beer and pretzels with cheese and mustard. Price was good, only $24. Pretzels were the best I've ever had, but the cheese was nothing special. Just a standard orange nacho type of cheese. I would have preferred a beer cheese or something with a little more flavor. Service was okay. I felt like I had to keep asking for them to help me. It's very convenient and close to the ball field so it would be a good place...
Atmosphere is great. Honestly. Service? At least what we experienced was horrible. We sat for 20 min after our drink order so I got up and got it from the bar myself. Then, she disappears. I never not tip, but this lady earned it by not doing anything except tapping for 3 seconds on a iPad then bringing me the bill later. Trash. You get better service at a Wendy's. Packed! Loud! Good food and very busy before a concert. So, that is a good thing for the business itself, but a challenge if your hearing is in decline. We were in the vault with a low ceiling, where everyone feels the need to talk very loud. We survived. We had a very nice waitress but she was running hard and was spread too thin for efficiency.
It's popular so plan on at least a 30 minute wait if something is going on downtown.
