I drove 30 minutes to Mr. Sweets for some Dubai chocolate bars, pistachio cream and he even sold me kataifi (Easter baskets). Mike helped me and he was such a kind, helpful man! You can tell this business is his PASSION❤️ After I paid he shared a couple different kinds of freshly baked baklava for me to sample. 30 minutes is a long drive but I’ll do it again and again to support a local small business like this. Mr. Sweets Bakery and Pastries is a gem worth trying. The baklava is so good, hitting that nostalgic nerve with a crispy crunch and soft center. Everything is fresh and delicious, from the Dubai Chocolates (the BEST) to the chocolate baklava, kanafe, Manaish, meat pies, and cheese pies. There are so many options—cakes, cookies, all kinds of pastries. The staff are very nice, patient, and polite, offering free samples and answering questions. The prices are outstanding, and the atmosphere is very clean and friendly. A 10/10 recommendation for anyone wanting to try middle eastern desserts.
