We ordered take-away on a Sunday afternoon for dinner. Order was ready at the time promised. The food was just ok. Don't get me wrong, good cooks have bad days so we will try Brody's again but the sauce (marinara) seemed processed and not scratch made. It lacked flavor or depth. First, we usually eat in. Atmosphere and service are great. This review is more for Brody's. I ordered pickup. Make your own pasta. I chose linguini with shrimp, artichoke, oil & garlic and basil. It was $41!! I justified the total with the fact that I could make 2 meals out of it. I was disappointed to find 3 pieces of shrimp and 3 pieces of artichoke. It was $12 to add shrimp, $2 to add oil and garlic (marinara is free?)?? and another upcharge for artichoke. Last time...
I come to Brody's Italian over 3 times a month and they never disappoint. Everything is made in house from their sauce to their pasta and is delicious. I moved to AZ from NJ and it is so hard to find good Italian. Definitely a must- try in AZ!!!
