Beautiful night at the Desert Botanicals after a lovely rain only to be extra delighted by our dinner at Gertrudes. Excellent waiter and delicious interesting food-highly recommend. We will be sure to eat there again on our next visit to the Gardens.

Service was wonderful. The food was good but a bit pricey. We sat on the patio as in-door dining room was VERY noisy and smell very fishy. The patio setting was beautiful and not as noisy - easier to carry a conversation without screaming. Overall I would recommend dining at Gertrude's.

We took a friend out for his 63rd birthday; I have taken people to Gertrude's before, but admittedly, under the last chef/manager. I sent a message, confirmed to the waitress at check-in, but no small taste (Previously, we had gotten a nice cookie/cake with Happy Birthday on it.), no recognition of this event. Disappointing - one of the reasons I picked this restaurant. Food was good; service was excellent (Shawn) until between dinner and dessert. We ordered a chocolate cake...
