We go there frequently and are always welcomed by the regular staff when we come in. There are two, unfortunately I don't have their names, who are almost always there. One is a manager and the other is always at the register. They know our order. Know what we need when we leave to take our remaining to go food. Always a joy and pleasure to see them and say hi.

My order was very quickly delivered by a nice man named Juan. It was so fast my churro was still warm (almost hot) and moist and very cinnamon-y. Yum.
The chicken, the shrimp and the blackened salmon tacos are, as usual, fabulous. Thank you!

If I were to make a list of the thousand things I loved about being alive, Rubio's would be on it. Probably not in the top 100 but somewhere in the middle. Definitely above having the homeroom with the good pencil sharpener. That stopped being meaningful once I graduated junior high but my oh my how high we flew with our well-pointed tigonderogas. We were as gods once.

Also free salsa is nice.
