I don’t give a lot of reviews, but Wendy deserves a shout out!

We came here last night. Pretty cool place with a nice ambience. Wendy greeted us at the door, she was the most welcoming and friendly person we’ve met in Phoenix so far. Wendy was the highlight of the entire night! Without her we would’ve left.

She worked late to accommodate us, Bring extra money, to give her an extra tip! She deserves it! Ask for Wendy!

Came across this spot by accident, was skeptical at first because of the signage and location. I was surprised with how cool and modern the decor was. The opening to 36 below was enticing making me want to go back! Great coffee! Banana favorite was the best!

I do not stop in often, but every time I do, I leave smiling. The coffee’s solid, but the real standout is Raq—genuinely kind, welcoming, and full of warmth. There is something sweet about a place where kindness is brewed as well as the coffee.

Ordered the chai martini and an espresso martini for my friend. My friend loved his martini, but my chai martini was awful - I got very nauseous and had a splitting headache after a few sips (possibly allergic to an ingredient?) - I told the bartender and he took my full drink and dumped it and then walked away. Didn’t offer to make me a new drink or a refund… just dumped my drink and wandered off into the abyss. It was my first (and last) alcoholic beverage of the evening. Just a very odd experience.

I recently discovered this coffee and beer shop and was highly impressed. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was inviting. I plan to return for brunch and drinks in the future.

If you live in the Arcadia neighborhood of Phoenix you should let Sip become your favorite neighborhood haunt. Built into an old garage, the atmosphere inside and out is good.

The drinks, hot or cold, alcoholic or not, but all defying the Mormon word of wisdom, are good. There are better sandwiches in the Phoenix area (see my reviews of Worth Takeaway and Duck and Decanter) but if you're already there to meet a friend or work on your screenplay and you realize it's lunch time, your sandwich will do the job.

Now, should you go out of your way to come to this Sip? Well ...no, there's probably a cool cafe in your area and I want you to learn to love it instead. This is not a destination, and that's ok, it doesn't have to be. But, maybe you're in the area to grab a mug you found on Facebook marketplace, or to grab an Elizabethan era Book of Common prayer from the Book Gallery across the street - then, you should grab a coffee or a beer here for sure. Then you recommend to your barista they open a third location in your neighborhood. Now you'll have two cool coffee shops near you.

Great use of an old jiffy lube.

My firm is remote & I enjoy changing my work environment at coffee shops around central & downtown Phoenix. I've been to Sip around 8-10 times & love the environment there. The coffee & food are good (a bit pricey compared to others, but no real complaints). The male barista is always pleasant & welcoming. I usually arrive when the doors open - he always stops what he's doing to say hello & either takes my order or lets me know he'll be right with me. The female with long, dark hair always seems legitimately upset that she has to deviate from whatever opening task she's performing to tend to a customer. She has even made me feel like my presence inconveniences her. I realize people have bad days, so thought I'd give her the benefit of the doubt, but since it has happened more than once, I felt compelled to write this. Imagine feeling like you're walking on eggshells just trying to pay for a coffee?! But, in her defense, she gets nicer as the day goes on, so maybe she's not a morning person?!

Ordered from the drive thru, the employee helping us was extremely rude. She had a confused/ annoyed look on her face the entire time she was taking our order. Coffee was okay, the espresso was super bitter. Overall, I’d definitely recommend a customer service training course for the barista.

Staff is good but the food not worth it! I took a takeaway for avocado toast and egg sandwich. While egg sandwich was okay, avocado toast was not good at all, tasted bitter and no other flavours could be tasted. Not worth it!

Sip Coffee has a fantastic atmosphere with great food, a solid selection of beer, and a welcoming vibe—ideal for a morning coffee or casual meeting. However, the early morning music volume is notably high, which can make it challenging for creatives and professionals to post up and focus on work. As someone with a background in B2B consulting and customer experience, I can’t emphasize enough how impactful it is to set music to an inviting volume that complements, rather than dominates, the space. During my visit, I overheard multiple patrons sharing similar concerns, finding the loud music chaotic and overstimulating. Setting the volume lower in the morning with ambient playlists would create a more relaxed, inviting space, with evenings left for higher energy tunes once the workday winds down. Overall, love the space-just a bit of tuning needed to make it an ideal work-friendly spot! Otherwise, Check them out!
