“Chanpen Thai Cuisine is my favorite Thai restaurant. The restaurant may not look like much on the outside, but its food is among the best Thai in the Phoenix area. While it is a bit of a drive for me, the drive is worth it.

The restaurant is tiny, with only a few tables and booths to sit at. They are more popular as a takeout restaurant. Both times I have been thus far, I have dined in the restaurant. The first time I went, I got their chicken chow mein, which was some of the best chow mein I have ever had. On my most recent visit, I got their yellow curry with chicken. It was some of the best yellow curry I have ever had. Both dishes were loaded with flavor and tasted authentic. One of my closest friends and his girlfriend came with me, and they said it was some of the best Thai food they have ever had as well.

The service is friendly and efficient. Both times I have walked in, I have been greeted with a warm smile by one of the staff members. I ended up getting there before they opened on my most recent visit, and they apologized for making me have to wait for them to open. However, since it was my day off, I had no issue with waiting, and it was perfect weather out. The wait was worth it.

Both times I have gone there, they have even offered free ice cream, which was a delightful bonus. On the first visit, I had their fried banana with ice cream, and they were a perfect pairing. Highly recommend trying it if you are in the mood for dessert.

For such excellent Thai food, their prices are not only reasonable, but they also have generous portion sizes.

“I have gotten the combo which has crispy chicken and steamed chicken and it comes with rice, cucumbers, a broth, and then I got the Thai sauce. Highly recommend the Thai sauce. And the pomegranate tea. The steamed chicken is so moist and tender. It’s literally unreal. The crispy chicken is so good. It doesn’t feel way down. Everything is light.
It’s so clean. This is my first time will be coming back.“

“This is our favorite Thai restaurant! I've been ordering the pad Thai for the past two years and it was amazing. It's been a few months since we ordered and today the Pad Thai was on a different level. I literally said OMG after every bite. The noodles are thinner and the sauce sticks perfectly to them( we used to order extra sauce since it was a tad thin). Sauce is a little sweet while the heat(I do medium) accompany it perfectly!“

“I have been living within walking distance of this place for years. Never tried it because im such a picky eater. Decided to walk over there just to try something different.... WOW. Delicious. The most flavorful noddles & stir-fry type dish i have ever had. Steak in it was so great. The Gai Tod fried chicken bites were also delicious with a unique taste. Way better than some run of the mill boneless wings.
The seasonings and flavors on everything were crazy good. Still taste it after the meal is done. Taste like some master chef made you something homemade on a wok on a fire pit. Charred to perfection taste.

One of the better meals I have had in Phoenix. Caught me totally by surprised. Can't believe that was fast food at all. Think this might be a weekly thing for me now. My new favorite.

Can't beat it. I'm cheap too, but this actually felt worth the tad bit higher prices.
Almost seems silly to have the horrible Chinese takeout, bad pizza places,crappy panda express, or bland Chipotle ever again instead of this place.

“My boyfriend and I came here after a long flight, straight from the airport. We were so hungry. LeDu Thai did not disappoint! We had the hat-yai fried chicken as our appetizer, pad ki-mao and kra pow chicken as our entrees, and the bong bong as our dessert. Every bite was packed with flavor.

Shoutout to the staff for such amazing service. They were nothing short of kind. They made the start of my boyfriend’s birthday trip so nice.

“Been trying to go here for over a year. Finally got there tonight. Best Thai food in Phoenix hands down. Amazing service. There is a reason dinner has a perpetual 45-1.5hr wait. Worth it. Fresh ingredients, concise menu, perfected flavor pairings. Michelin Star dining where flip flops are ok. Parking can be interesting but definitely part of the experience. Go here.“

“We love Thai Delight. We have been coming here for 4 years and have never had a bad meal. Tonight we had a pumpkin curry and a red curry. Both were large portions and delicious. The coconut ice cream at the end really adds to the experience. I wish we lived closer so we could go more often.“

I got a small Chicken Teriyaki plate and a small plate of Orange Chicken, and right off the bat, the presentation blew me away. For a takeout spot, the care they put into plating the dishes was beyond impressive it was neat, vibrant, and honestly some of the best presentation I’ve ever seen from a takeout restaurant.

Flavor-wise, both dishes were packed with bold, satisfying tastes. The Chicken Teriyaki had that perfect balance of savory and slightly sweet, with tender chicken and a beautifully glazed finish. But the real standout for me was the Orange Chicken.... I’m usually cautious with this dish since it tends to be overly sweet at most places, but not here. The sauce had a bright, tangy flavor that brought real depth and balance.

Beyond the food, the service was incredibly fast and the staff were genuinely kind and welcoming. You can tell they care about what they’re doing, and it shows in every aspect from the packaging to the warm customer interaction.

This place is the definition of a hidden gem. I truly hope they get the recognition and business they deserve, because they’re serving up exceptional food with heart.
