Marti was such an amazing host/bartender. Sister flew in from out of town and visited, wanted to bring her to a place I’ve been wanting to attend for a long time and I or disappointed! Amazing atmosphere, exceptional service and a really cool theme and menu! We drank at platform 18 (definitely recommend). 10/10 would recommend to a friend!

Located inside Century Grand in Phoenix, which houses three different bars. Asian-themed, stylish, and slightly provocative in tone. The space feels intentional and polished. Backbar is impressive. Seating includes bar seats and a few tables. Music volume is good and fits the vibe.

Recommendation: Special Walnut Shrimp, Mango Sticky Rice
Newspaper-style menu that’s creative and distinctive. Drink selection is decent. Flavor execution is really strong—well balanced and thoughtful. No coasters, though some drinks don’t require them due to presentation. Glassware is average. Garnish and presentation stand out, with creative details that clearly match each drink’s concept.
Service: 8/10
Water served on arrival. Friendly and attentive team. Professionalism is average. Walk-in only. Prices are slightly above average for Phoenix.
We did the wintery train ride for kids in December. The staff were wonderful, and Santa couldn't have been nicer. And my nephew enjoyed himself. That said $56pp for an hour long reservation, that ONLY includes some basic cookies with sugar crystals and a cup of hot chocolate seems a little steep, considering nothing spectacular happens on the train. The 'windows' just show winter snow scenes, even a glimpse of the north pole or something would have made it a bit more magical at least. I don't blame staff, as I said they were all warm and friendly, I just think the owners are overcharging somewhat for the experience.

Definitely something different, loved the newspaper menus. The cocktails were true to theme (China Town) and even the mocktail was delicious!
There is a 4% staff benefit charge added but you can ask to take off (according to the receipt)

Best spot in central Phoenix. The bartender Addison is a great mixologist. His drinks are dangerous! One of our favorite spots, we will always come back when in town.

Very cool place. The only thing is the server adjustment that they put on the bill for 4% which is completely asinine. You charge $19 for a drink, and you have the audacity to charge me 4% extra for a server adjustment. How’s this, the server adjustment is your tip.
My favorite cocktail bar in Phoenix.
Of the three bars at the century grand, the Grey Hen Rx is the least immersive but it’s our favorite after trying all of them. The cocktail menu is more extensive but no less impressive and there’s no concern on the reservation time. It feels like the staff has more time to engage with the customer. If you’re overwhelmed with the drink selection going with the bartenders recommendation is a good start.

Went for burlesque night and it was absolutely amazing! The drinks were also good. Can't wait to go back!
There are three or four bars within the same building, each with its own unique theme, like sitting in a bar in a 1920s steam train or a bar in 1920s New York Chinatown—I absolutely loved the concept! Each bar has a distinct menu, and the drinks change from time to time. If there’s a specific bar you want to visit, I highly recommend making a reservation. We walked in and ended up at the Grey Hen, which was a great experience — first come first serve seating.
The bartenders are incredibly knowledgeable, easily explained what you could expect from each drink— shout out to Justice and Jonah, once you see the menu you’ll know what I mean 😅. The cocktails are truly one of a kind, so unique. The immersive atmosphere, with train sounds, horns, and hanging lanterns just added to the experience. And I loved the newspaper style menu—make sure you read it fully so you don’t miss any of the cocktails.
This spot features amazing craft cocktails. We enjoyed a wonderful Tom and Jerry, a traditional Christmas-time warm eggnog and cognac drink.
Jonah, our knowledgeable and entertaining Bartender, made happy hour a truly festive time together.
The wood bar is stocked with an impressive selection of quality spirits. But the discovery of new and revisiting old favorites made this bar experience very special.
