“We were greeted with friendliness when we walked in the door. The items on the menu were diverse and creative, with a mix of more standard fare. The food was delicious with an enjoyable mix of seasoning and well cooked fare. The wait was appropriate for the cuisine. A wholly pleasing experience.“

“I come here quite often with my family. The food is always amazing and the portions are very fair.
Only reason I'm giving it only 4 stars is because the employees didn't seem happy to be there and while they were nothing bad they were more just...indifferent I would say is the best way to describe it. I recommend take out rather than eating in.
Just think there should of more energy around the place. I understand that someone times it's just a way to pay the bills but providing a happy atmosphere and service it's what keep people coming back the food too of course lo.“

“I windsurfed Maui for years. Honeymooned there. 16th birthday for my daughter. This place reminds me of Paia and Malawian. Such a friendly attitude. The food was awesome. It’s not like Mama’s fish house more quaint.“

“This review is for Mina, the girl at the register. She was very welcoming and friendly, told her it was my first time and I was from Colorado, she gave me her favorite suggestion and suggested other dishes that were popular as well. I took her suggestion and got the Fire grilled white fish mini plate. Plate was plentiful for myself, 1 scoop macaroni salad, 1 scoop rice, 2 pc of blackened spiced fish and some steamed cabbage. Everything was delicious, but elevated after Mina suggested a ginger sauce to use with my fish, loved it. First time trying this place and would recommend, Thank you Mina for the Great experience!“

“First time being at this restaurant, the staff was very attentive. They explained the menu very well. They let me know what type of spices they were using. They answered every question that we had the food was so immaculately fresh. The rice was not hard to like some places and the dole whip perfect amazing tastes just like the one in Hawaii I would keep coming back here.

Oh and PS they don’t judge you for mispronouncing the menu items wrong lol. Good job management! Raya deserves all the credit. She was so helpful. And so kind big beautiful smile“

“it's a little daunting if you have never picked your own stuff before, but I generally picked everything I liked and it was pretty bomb. great place and the tea is good too“

“My wife and I stopped in for lunch. We are outside on the patio. I ordered the fire chicken and BBQ chicken. While both were delicious, the fire chicken is appropriately named because it is fire!!!

My wife had the BBQ beef, which might have been the best dish.

Inside seemed a little warm, but outside was great. We will be back.“

“My Hawaiian friend told me about this place and I love Hawaiian barbecue so thought I’d try it out. Hapa has officially ruined any other restaurant that serves Hawaiian bbq because other places just dont compare. The food is always fresh, delicious, and large portions. I couldn’t recommend them enough.“

“Wow it’s been almost 20 years since I’ve had some ono food from Aloha kitchen. Today, ah today I ordered Poke and a Kalbi plate! “So many options of free toppings! I got three types of tuna for my poke bowl. The miso soup had plenty of tofu and was delicious, but it had excessive green onions. Service was quick, location was convenient for ASU staff, inside was clean. I'll be back!“

“This is a lucky find. The bbq beef has the enduring flavour of umame. It’s no wonder people are lined up out the door; they’re addicted!! It’s really like that ; you want to order it again after all you got left is an empty plate. But who’s going to do that. Huh?“

“Flavors were amazing, food arrived perfectly hot. Very fresh, and just right. Everything was presented well and arrived quickly. Atmosphere was pleasant and quiet. Parking is limited because they share a small one-way parking lot with other businesses.“

“The food is decent. Not what I would consider true Hawai'ian plate lunch. But good nonetheless.

I would suggest that you order online and pick up and eat in or out. It takes quite a bit of time getting your food order when you order through the self kiosk and/or the cashier.“
