Restaurantji's Sedona Mexican restaurant picks are here.
“You have to make reservations to this wonderful restaurant in Sedona! That was the best Elote I have ever had (being from Texas) in my life, it was totally worth the $11. The brisket enchiladas were also very delicious which paired perfectly with all the margaritas available on the menu. Dont forget the Agave Vanilla Ice Cream for dessert!“
“Delicious all around, we went there twice while in Sedona for 3 days... we had burritos, the Fish burrito bowl, fries and tacos plate. The burrito bowl is perfect if you don't know what to get. It has everything. The slaw is great, so is th corn and so are the veggies. You honestly cannot go wrong.“
“Had a great family dinner here during our vacation in Sedona. Wide variety of options on the menu, from pancakes for my seven-year-old, macaroni and cheese for my four-year-old, turkey burger with sweet potato fries for those who aren’t in the mood for Mexican, garden salad with grilled chicken breast for the GF folks, to traditional Mexican fare. One adult in our group ordered a burrito and compared it favorably to the one he had at Tamaliza earlier this week (“more meat”). The fajitas were also meat-heavy (in a good way!) and delicious. Very affordable and good service too, although we ate just before 5 pm so it wasn’t exactly prime time. We would go back on our next trip here.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly - kids menu, casual atmosphere.“
“I love this place. The food is so good and Simon is so kind ?. Everything I have tried is amazing AND even just sampling the hot sauces Simon has is fun! I'm interested in trying the Flaming Hot burrito for a change ? maybe next time“
“Outstanding food! My husband and I got the elote, chips and salsa, snapper entree, lamb entree, and flan to go for desert. The bone marrow elote was the best elote I've ever had. The snapper entree was absolutely to die for. The prickly pear flan was excellent as well! I did not try my husband's lamb but we both agreed it was our favorite date night yet due to the food alone!“
“Very busy large establishment that was able to accommodate our large group of 11. Menu had the usual as well as some interesting takes on Mexican food. I think we were too engrossed in our conversations to comment on the food, but that's a good thing. Service was good except for a moderate sized water spill that was never taken care of, and one order that was not taken with the others. My blackened catfish part of the dish was tasty, but I'm not sure the relleno part worked well. Overall, it was a good experience though, especially the tasty margaritas. Be prepared for the Sedona prices, but that's just the norm.“
“We came here for dinner tonight after a hike and everything was delicious. Best Mexican food I've had in years! I got a chicken chimichanga and my boyfriend got a two combo special with burrito and taco. Each came with rice and beans. The staff was friendly and courteous, the meals were delivered quickly, the restaurant was clean and well kept. If you're in town, this would definitely be my go-to for Mexican! We arrived at 4:30 and got seated right away, but when we left at 5:45 there was a wait and the place was full!“
“Cute little authentic Mexican joint. My boyfriend and I stopped here after a day of hiking at dinner time, around 4:30 or 4:45 and had a ten minute wait. There's not much room, so they asked us to wait in the vehicle and they called as soon as it was ready. (Not even 10 minutes later.) He had a burrito and I had a chimichanga. Service was great, staff was courteous. It's small and a little noisy inside because of the size, but the food is very good and the service was very good as well! Parking is super limited. We parked a few stores up the street, in the back. No problems.“
“We stopped in for some birthday ? drinks for my husband last night. The ambiance was SO FUN with live music ? ( Band plays Wednesday and Saturday). We lived their music ( Latin) THE bartender Sean was fun and engaging. They have very good margaritas and a HUGE variety of tequila. The band even sang Happy Birthday to my husband. THANK YOU 89Agave for making my husband's birthday ? so special“
“Best homemade corn beef hash I have had in a long time, if ever. Went here for the first time 3 years ago. Had the same Latina server both times. She is so warm and kind. When my gf bread came out with butter, she replaced it no problem. The enchiladas are fire ?. They have a wonderful staff. The restaurant has a hole-in-the-wall feel, but doesn’t take away from the experience. It was nice to get right in on a Sunday morning, avoiding all the craziness of Sedona in season. Highly recommend their food.Dietary restrictions: GF toast is goooood. Easy to find things to eat that conform to my diet, GF/DF.“
“I come to Sedona area pretty often and I’m kicking myself for not stopping by this spot earlier. This trip we ate at both locations and neither one disappointed. This location is a bit larger than the one in Sedona and offers a full bar. The other location does not. We were greeted and seated right away. My only negative the entire time was how long it took for us to get our server to come greet us and get our orders in. However once she arrived it was great service and she really made us laugh. She interacted well with us all and we didn’t have to ask for anything. Chips and salsa is one feee basket. If you want more you’ll have to pay a few dollars. I opted for three shrimp tacos and added rice and beans. My family ordered the carne asada plate, a trio of some sort that came with stacked enchiladas and same asada on the side with rice and beans and I can’t remember the other plate. We ordered a side of jalepenos which didn’t disappoint on the spicy level . Under the carne asada was cactus. Which has a bit of a bitter taste, but pared well with the food. The shrimp tacos were amazing. Not your typical cabbage doused toppings at other places, but peppers and sauce with a little kick. They have a street taco size and regular. Depending on how hungry you are that’s a great option. We all left very full and happy.Vegetarian options: Small section with vegetarian options“
“Food is everyday fast food. Ordered a bowl of vegetable beef soup and it was really good. Like the way it is setup: place order, pickup food at counter, silverware& napkins next to condiments and pop machine! They even have "warmers" for huge open doors - chilly out today. Place is cleanKid-friendliness: Huge area for grabbing a table and serving children. Ice Cream vendor as soon as you come thru front door. Coffee vendor convenient for parents.“
“Visited on a Saturday Morning: Jorge was pleasant and patient as he took my one "BurrriiitO!" order. Prepare to devour each morsel before you realize you forgot to take a photo. Freshly made salsa bar was a plus. Loved the decor and cleanliness. I parked outside the restaurant as the graffiti in the small, dark underground parking garage made me feel uncomfortable. There's also a nice, easy access drive thru to use as well. Very well laid out place. A small uncovered picnic table seating patio is outside that has a nice view of Mountains. It's also fun to watch traffic maneuver in the roundabouts. I hope the driver's don't crash when they see my "BurrrriiitO!"! I'll be back next week!“
“Tamaliza lived up to all of my expectations! My wife and I hoped to find authentic Mexican food while in Sedona and it was perfect! We had a wonderful meal and our host was very pleasant and helpful with our Order! I really wish we could go there all the time but we are from Indianapolis!Vegetarian options: I had my first ever Vegan Tamale!Dietary restrictions: Many vegan options!Parking: 10Kid-friendliness: A wonderful atmosphere!“
“The food was excellent. The salsa was amazing and the perfect level of spicy, along with the guacamole. The food was ready very shortly after we ordered and was extremely good. One of the newer kitchen staff mistakenly put onion on one of the orders (we'd requested no onion) and the corrected food was ready in less than 5 minutes. They were also able to make a non-alcoholic version of the spicy mango margarita, which was also very good. The servers were all super friendly as well. The atmosphere outside (where we sat) was lovely and there was plenty of shade due to the colorful umbrellas. There were also a lot of very cute sparrows who would grab any chips that people dropped but would otherwise keep their distance. They added an extra bit of liveliness.“
“This is like a great fast food Mexican food place, so I don’t think it is fair to rate it on atmosphere, so I gave the atmosphere 5 stars even though it’s not supposed to be a fancy restaurant. Love the drive-through. Love the chicken tacos, they have a perfect crispy taco shell, the best we’ve hade since we moved to AZ from Texas. Everything we have had is good, tasty, quality Mexican food! So glad we have LosBetos here in the Village of Oak Creek!“
“The staff was very attentive, the food was delicious and they were very large plates, so the price is appropriate. We ordered a burrito and it came with half of it. The delicious margaritas! You can tell that the food is real Mexican. Very good ambient music.Parking: The parking lot is right in front and is free, with plenty of spaces.“
“Stopped for lunch on the way out of Sedona. The Sedona Wrap with marinated chicken and roasted bell peppers was loaded with chicken and very good. The tamales plate was large. Kids meals come with a drink and a bowl of ice cream for dessert.“
“We tried going to another place nearby that had great reviews...hostess was rude, long wait, bad vibes...ended up coming here...BEST DECISION!!! This place had AMAZING food and drinks and outstanding customer service!! I would recommend this place, I look forward to coming back!!“
“We went there with 5 adults, the portions of food was pretty decent. Overall flavors of food was good, served hot. We wanted to try the 3lb cinnamon bun but didn't dare since it looked so huge and the party next to us said it would be good to order amongst a group of people. Definitely something we would try with more people in our party. The staff were professional.“
