As advertised, Bertie's was excellent! I am a huge fan of breakfast food. I could eat it for every meal. The Chicken Fried Steak was simply the best I've ever had. Lightly crispy, cut-it-with-a-fork tender, so savory. Everything was on point: gravy, eggs, potatoes, coffee, service, and atmosphere. They are also known for their doughnuts, which are made in-house. I recommend the apple fritter.
Bertie's 2: The next meal...One can not express just how great the food is here. Reasonably priced and a welcoming and friendly staff makes Bertie's a go-to place for me. The biscuits and gravy are nothing short of a hometown phenomenal experience!And to Dana: There aren't enough people like you in the industry. Diamond in the rough! Thank you!

Small place, service was good but not great. The food was amazing and affordable. Nothing annoys me more than bland biscuits and gravy, so I was super pleased with how flavorful they were here!
