Fantastic place had a table available as soon as we walked in the service was spot on.

Craving sushi in the Arizona desert, we tried one place and were ready to give up. Then we found Tanuki. Excellent food, service, all of it. Call ahead and reserve a table if you can. It’s popular for a reason.

Went here for the first time. Food was great. But the service was terrible. We didn't receive part of our order. We tried waiting for the server to come by to let her know. She kept looking around, but not at us. We informed her we didn't receive our items. She said she'd take it off the bill. The bill only took a couple of dollars off, not the full amount. At that point we just decide it was what it was, paid and decided never to return

One of the best restaurants in Sierra Vista. Get the guacamole!

Food: The sushie rolls were sticking to each other and weren’t easy to grab with the chopstick. Sushie rolls fell apart very easily when grabbed with chopsticks or hand.
Ordered Octopus Taki for kids. The menu not the server mentioned that they put wasabi in it when they serve wasabi on the side.
I greatly enjoy Japanese sushie but me and my kids didn’t enjoy the experience.
Service: The server needed a day off. We felt being rushed to take our orders as it was our first time there. Another server came and took our empty plates that we need to put our sushie in and our chopsticks and said he was going to bring new ones but never did. I had to go ask for chopsticks and we had to put our sushie in the tiny small soy sauce bowl or pass the plate around with the sushie rolls cause nobody brought our individual plates. My kids still wanted to eat more sushie but the server gave us our bill when we didn’t asked for it nor did she check if we wanted to order more sushie before handing the bill. We left totally unsatisfied with the experience.
Atmosphere: The restroom was extremely dirty with a toilet full of poop and toilet paper. There were people sitting right outside the male restroom. I don’t think they knew.

Simply extraordinary. We shared the Love Boat and it was more than we could finish, but the freshness, taste, and quality were superb. The table service was fast and friendly and the owner checked in on our table to make sure everything was perfect. We loved this place and will surely return again when in the area.

I love eating here! The service is fast, everyone is kind, and the food is amazing! 10/10 would come here again!

First off everybody that works there treat you like family. Everybody is very sweet and very nice and very professional second off. Gracie was my waitress. She was very attentive and professional and we became basically best friends. Their food is to die for if you guys ever wanna try it real authentic Japanese food this is the place to go. The owners have been cooking Japanese food for 48 years. I mean it’s incredible and the atmosphere is incredible. The sitting is incredible. You just feel like you are in Japan. It’s it’s incredible. I recommend this place 1000 fold

Best sushi in Cochise County! Service was splendid, and Ms. Maggie always makes you feel at home. I always have a good experience when I stop in for dinner.

This is without doubt the best restaurant in Sierra Vista. It's also one of the best Japanese restaurants I've ever eaten at, equal to those in big US cities and Japan.

This is the freshest and most authentic sushi anywhere. It's a small place with a basic but adequate menu. Everything is clean. Owners are actual Japanese and take a great deal of pride in their establishment. Prices are fair, maybe even a bit low considering the quality. Been here 20+ times and really can't think of a single complaint, except maybe they're not open late. So come early and enjoy a little slice of Japan in the middle of a small Arizona desert town.
