Since we were in Elgin, we thought we would venture off-campus and enjoy dinner. The Steak Out was pretty much the only game in town. We were extremely happy that we made a reservation because this place was PACKED. It is a really cool western vibe and pretty big place to hold all the folks waiting to dine there. Sat on the patio which was a bit quieter than inside. The steaks were great as was the salmon. The burger was small and undercooked. The family style salad was so so, really basic. Two in our party did not like the house dressing. The service was excellent.
Steak Out is one of our family's favorite spots! We always love getting the corner booth—it feels like the perfect place for a family dinner. The steaks are consistently delicious, the burgers are fantastic, and you can't beat the chips and salsa. Great food, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere keep us coming back again and again. Highly recommend!
