The best rolls... just like the "hard rolls" we get in Italian bakeries in Milwaukee. Many bakeries don't even know what they are, but this place makes them perfectly. I go for the hard rolls and always find other delicious treats to bring home as well!

Based on the reviews, New York West Bakery & cafe is a local, not chain, restaurant with a super cute and clean atmosphere. The food is amazing, fresh, and top tier, with great portions. The sandwiches, soup of the day, and pastries are all wonderful. Specific menu items include breakfast sandwiches, a mocha coffee drink, a linzer cookie, assorted butter cookies, and a loaf of bread. The bakery has an excellent display of baked goods with a large assortment, including cannoli neopolitans, cookies, and almond horn. The cream horns and eclairs are also tempting. The customer service is great, with staff who are very welcoming and helpful. They greeted children with a cookie and baguette. Everyone is happy to make the meal with love. The prices are fair. This place is a great new lunch spot and a go-to for birthday cakes and holiday treats. They also have a diner and are open Sundays until 3pm.
