Born & raised in San Diego, I've lived in Tempe for 7 years now. I'm a Mexican food lover that will travel far & wide in my search for good Mexican food. Sonora Cocina Express is a 1/2 mile from my front door but I'd never been there before. All that has changed now... I've been there 3 times in the last week. This is a hidden gem! Been here three times, I’ve had tacos, chile rellenos, and burritos, and each time the food was great! Super authentic food. Reasonable prices. Fast service. Highly recommend.

Wow, this place is incredible. Been here a few times and have been impressed with every dish. HIGHLY recommend the quesabirria. Very high quality and authentic. Definitely take the time to stop by this restaurant!
