Bear Canyon Pizza on Tanque Verde offers a mixed experience. The service is amazing and the staff is always friendly, with ladies up front who are extremely attentive and knowledgeable about ingredients and allergens. The food quality is good, with the canyonized wings being fantastic and the garlic knots great. The pizza is awesome, with plentyful and delicious toppings, considered some of the best by some. However, the spiciness of flavors can be over the top, and prices are high, with a pizza over 30 dollars pushing yikes. The restaurant is large and quiet, with a kids play corner, but some find it lacking with broken, dirty, or missing toys and a worn rug. The chef is great, and they will prepare items not on the menu. Patio seating is available, and food can be taken to the sister bar/restaurant across the parking lot for outdoor seating and live music.
