I always enjoy having lunch or dinner at North. The food is delicious, the place fun. Our waiter Julian was outstanding. On the spot all the time. Thank you to the staff and especially to my favorite Vito Prencipe. A treasure!
Overall, this is one of the best restaurants in the area. The food is amazing, with excellent presentation that truly stands out. The décor is tasteful and the place is very clean and well maintained. The service is great, making the entire experience enjoyable. Be sure to try their brunch — it's a must!
We have eaten at North often over the years and are rarely disappointed. The food was good and the service was excellent. We would happily recommend it!
Stopped in for a quick appetizer. Had the calamari, and it was delicious!
Always delightful.
I'm not sure if yesterday's waiter slept at home because he was definitely not on the job. Their spaghetti bologness dish was very salty.
Service was fantastic! However, I had to send my water glass and my wine glass back as they were filthy. Especially the wine glass that had lip marks on it. What's going on in the kitchen?
Great service, great food, very loud atmosphere.
North has really great handmade pasta at reasonable prices. The glazed beets are also a notable dish.
From the moment you step in, the ambiance sets the tone—chic yet warm, with thoughtful design touches that elevate the space without feeling pretentious. The service was impeccable from start to finish: attentive, friendly, and genuinely knowledgeable about the menu.
To kick things off, I highly recommend the New Italian Spritz. This cocktail is the perfect way to begin your evening, especially in Tucson’s warm climate. It’s crisp, refreshing, and expertly balanced—light enough to whet the appetite while packing just enough flavor to stand out.
We started with the White Truffle Garlic Bread, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best appetizers I’ve had in recent memory. Rich, aromatic, and indulgent without being overwhelming, it was the perfect introduction to what would be a consistently excellent meal.
Every dish we tried reflected careful preparation and a commitment to quality ingredients. From the starters to the mains, everything was flavorful, well-portioned, and beautifully presented. While it’s hard to single out one highlight, the overall experience was a harmonious blend of flavors, hospitality, and ambiance.
Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for a standout Italian meal in Tucson, North Italia at La Encantada delivers on all fronts. I’ll absolutely be returning—and next time, I might just order two rounds of that truffle bread.

The service was excellent, but the food was of very low quality. The portion size did not justify the price. I overpaid for what was essentially plain cheese. I won't be coming back to eat here again. It's clear the restaurant was recently sold to a large corporation that is now cutting corners.
Highly recommend North Italia! The food is terrific, the service is great, the ambiance is lively. Anytime we go it is consistently good. Thank you for always being fantastic!
I need to begin by saying I like North Italia, I have dined there many times over the years. The food and service is consistently very good, which was the case for this visit. There was a major issue however, one I have not encountered in the past. There were many, and I mean a lot of flies in the restaurant. They were buzzing around from the second we walked in until we left. It was a complete distraction throughout the entire meal. The restaurant has an open bar to the outside in the front, so I am not what they can do, but they should try to mitigate a very nasty problem. I will be back but not soon, maybe when it is cooler outside when the flies are not seeking refuge.
We were offered bread to start off with and had to ask for it. I asked for medium well eggs and for runny eggs. The service was slow. It was my favorite go to place for brunch but I might not return.
Food was excellent and great service. The portions were large so just ate some for lunch the next day and was still very good.
