Waited over an hour, then told food would take another 40 minutes. We were shivering and asked for takeout. Food arrived late, quality was terrible, and items were missing. Very disappointing service and management.

Not worth the price you pay. Restaurant needs cleaning, a lot. Items are priced to match nearby fine dining restaurants portion wise, but poorer quality of food. Plates have soap stains. The way my scallop dynamite roll was served was gross. Dirty edges of a plate is not something we'd expect in a restaurant in this range of prices.

Open table showed openings for reservations from 6 p.m. until 11 p.m. I flew into phoenix and drove to Tuscon to have dinner with my son. I knew it would be on the later side and I saw 9:30 p.m. open for two. We showed up at the restaurant to see in completely empty except for a group of 6 standing at the host stand. Lots of staff bustling around the restaurant but no one helping the party of six. We entered and waited right behind the group. After nearly 10 minutes, the party of 6 was seated. We waited some more, then someone came to see what we wanted. I said we had an open table reservation. He did not even ask my name, all he did was look at his watch and said the kitchen was closing in 10 minutes and they could not seat us. I explained that open table showed reservations until 10:30 and we booked 9:30. He just shrugged and said he had been trying to “get the owners to fix that on open table”..... He said to try other restaurants all of which were also closing, but we knew that because they didn't have reservation openings on open table like RA Sushi did. Meanwhile the group right in front of us had not even ordered yet. We could have been accommodated but clearly since the restaurant was not busy, they wanted to close early. To be fair, I can't really give a one star for food since I did not get to eat anything.... but it is not an option to leave the field blank so I had to populate it with something. RA Sushi should get a negative 1 million stars for service, attitude and customer experience, so the other single stars are pretty generous.

We had the most amazing dinner! Both managers came to our table. It was our first time there and they welcomed us and even gave us some edamame and dessert! The servers were super attentive as well. Next time we are Tucson we are definitely coming back and we're going to check out the one close to where we live in Mesa.

This was our first time at RA, and all of the rolls looked amazing. The drinks were delicious, and the decor and ambience was lovely. Service was a bit slow, but it was Christmas Eve so we expected it to be busy. Making a reservation on Open Table was easy.

I feel bad, but the truth is this was not a good experience. And I have to preface by saying this is peak season in Tucson and a peak holiday weekend at La Encantada and every restaurant was packed. I get it. But us snowbirds come every year from November to April and descend on the Foothills during this crazy season. You know this is coming. 7:00 We were seated on the patio at a dirty table. No water, no utensils. Waited 15 minutes for a server. Nobody. Walked to the bar and ordered two drinks. Closed that tab and brought them to table. Finally some water. No menus. At 7:40 we walked out. I felt bad and I feel bad for writing this but again this is one of the premier (really only) dining and shopping areas of Tucson and you have to do better.
I had an absolutely wonderful meal and dining experience here, and had been meaning to go for years, but never managed to given my budget restrictions. However, I signed up to be part of their Birthday Club, and received a really awesome $50 gift certificate (wow!) from them to use for my birthday, and also received a $20 gift certificate at my half birthday, so there's a deal you definitely need to take advantage of, trust me!
The service was so friendly and fun; really pleasant folks, and the food was absolutely delicious, fresh, nicely presented, and the texture of that tempura was fabulous!
My friend and I both got Bento boxes that included shrimp and veggie tempura as well as salmon, salad, and a couple of pieces of nigiri Sushi. Everything was delicious, fresh, and visually appealing. So, along with awesome service and friendly staff, it was wonderful, and I am looking forward to going back.
We went during the week at 1:30 in the afternoon, so it was fairly empty, which was nice and what we preferred. There is outdoor seating under both a covered patio as well as an open patio, and though it was a lovely day, it was just a little breezy to be sitting outside. I'm so grateful that they gifted me through that Birthday Club because I don't know when I would have gotten there otherwise, and I'm thrilled that I finally got to go and it was such a wonderful experience. Highly recommend!
There was a very loud table next to us. 10 women, all of them were very loud with yelling and laughing. A nearby table to them actually asked to be moved outside. We considered the same, but we had just received the dinner. People say kids are loud, but this group was obnoxiously loud. Other than that, food was fine.
