“Next bang for our buck in Grand Canyon Village. Everything is very high priced in town, so a quick fresh burger or salad was a great option at the end of a long day at Grand Canyon.”
“100% recommended, everything was very good, as well as the food and customer service.Without a doubt, it is a very good restaurant that I will continue to attend.”
“We rented e-bikes and rode the rim with this bunch! It was an incredible experience from the staff who outfitted us with perfectly-sized bikes, gave us a quick tutorial on bike operation, and recommended options for our half-day on the bikes. We opted for the Hermit’s Rest ride (21 miles roundtrip and mostly flat) and it was PERFECT for a five-hour rental. We biked at a leisurely pace, stopped several times, and even had a quick lunch at Hermit’s Rest. Highly recommend Bright Angel Bicycle Rentals!”
“The food was so delicious. Yesterday night I ate there chicken tenders and it was so yummy.Today I ate their breakfast and it was the best breakfast (Omelette) I ever had. I can recommend it.”
“The chocolate salted caramel cheesecake saved our meal and this review. We were able to be seated a little earlier than our reservation time and thank goodness because the service here is slow!!! My husband and I knew what we wanted ahead of time but still had to wait forever to place our orders. I had the French onion soup burger with fruit and my husband had the elk bolognese. My fruit had some weird white stuff all over it, I picked it off but it was kind of off putting. My burger was also ordered medium and came out well done but I didn't want to wait for another one to be made. My husbands brussel sprouts had inedible, hard, stems left on. We decided to get the cheesecake when we heard the flavor of it. Wow, was it delicious!!!! Definitely the best part of our meal. The water glass stayed filled and our waiter was kind, just very slow. The roof was also leaking near where we were sat, but the view from the window was spectacular. For the total price of our meals, I'd kind of expect more overall. Also, the website states to dress nicer, this does not hold true to lunch time. We dressed business casual and were overdressed compared to other patrons.”
“The service and staff is great! Our food was very tasty and we didn't have to wait for long. a great place to bring your family and friends for a great meal!”
“I'm a bit confused. My prime rib was ciooked to the order, large and tasty. At the same time my wife said that her tenderloin was worst since the one in Soviet Estonia. If it had been the promised weight and cut to start with, they had used significant magic to shrink and dry it.I don't know whether there are rules about light pollution up there, but the yard and parking lot were pitch dark.”
“The portions are generous, especially the nachos, which came in a pizza box. They have a good bar and a great selection of beers. There's food and drinks appropriate for kids too. There was a long line one of the two times we visited due to the Yavapai restaurant, located next door, undergoing renovations. Go during sunset hours and you'll beet the dinner crowd”

“The Desert View Watchtower is a 70 foot iconic stone structure that can be seen from quite a distance away. It has four stories and was designed by architect Mary Colter in 1932. The Watchtower is located in the Desert View area next to the East entrance. You are able to enter and explore the lower level of the Watchtower called the Kiva Room. There are many windows that you can view the Grand Canyon from. The interior of the tower also has a lot of beautiful stone carvings on the walls. In the Desert View area are bathrooms, a gift shop, general store, and a trading post. Just outside the watchtower is Desert View Point. At this viewpoint you can see the Colorado River make a sharp 90-degree turn to the west. If you drive west on Desert View Drive, there are quite a few other beautiful viewpoints along the way until you get to Grand Canyon Village. If you are traveling on the on US 89, you can get to Desert View by turning west onto State Route 64 in Cameron, AZ. Then travel about 25 miles until you get to the East Entrance. The Desert View area is right after you enter the park. The Watchtower is easy to locate as soon as you enter. It is a popular spot because this is the first viewpoint you can visit as you enter the park. So expect some crowds.”
“We only came here for breakfast once after checking out. Had veggie breakfast burritos and added protein choice for an extra charge. They were good, great salsa too. The seasoned home fries were delicious. We had great service from Larry and really enjoyed our quiet breakfast before hitting the road after spending a couple of days at the Grand Canyon”
“Reasonably priced breakfast sandwiches, burritos & Starbucks coffee! It opens at 7 am but we got in line at 6:45 and we are glad we did. By the time we got out of line there were 30 more people behind us in line!Tip: get in line early before they even open up or you’ll be waiting awhile!”
“After reading the reviews my expectations were low but I was very happy with everything. Service was great, good atmosphere, the salad was superb and our steak was tender and very good!”
“I had the prickly pear margarita!! Wow! That was soooo Good! Then I ordered the cheeseburger (Swiss) and it was delicious! Ray the bartender is amazing! He kept the drinks coming. Definitely recommend this place. Came in for a quiet dinner and got a good conversation and great drinks and food instead. Thank you, Ray! I appreciate you! Thank you for being a kind gentleman to this humble nurse!”
“Breakfast was okay. One of us ordered the travelers breakfast and got some ala cart items. The sausage I got was cold but tasted good. Son enjoyed his French toast. Dinner was much better. My mom and I got a large chuck wagon to share and it came with lots of food. All of it was pretty good. Brisket was good pork was dry. Mac and cheese were good. Pretzel roll was yummy! Apple crisp also very good! Just make sure to get there as soon as possible after sunset it gets busy around 7. The process was not very organized and the line can get long. The dinner was probably the better tasting food we had at the park.”
“I cannot understand the bad reviews. Every time we had our meals there, our experience was great. Our server Kee was great the first time and on our last night she still had her professional attitude. Her warmth and the food at this establishment made our trip so great.”
“We were looking for dinner and there few choices in our area. Harvey House only had 3.3 stars overall, which we would ordinarily tell us to try somewhere else, but we were tired and decided we probably wouldn’t die if we ate there. Instead, we had a very good (probably a 4.5 if we had that option) experience. We were seated right away, our server was excellent, they had around 12 beers on tap and lots of others in bottles or cans, and a reasonable number of meal choices. We both ordered turkey wraps, which were good. I wanted to leave a positive review because I don’t want people to pass up a good dining option due to other low scores.”
“Had a good time grabbing a couple of drinks and food here after walking the Trail of Time. Chili hit the spot after some cold weather and had the opportunity to try a couple of craft beers from Flagstaff. Was a little pricy, not too bad, but hey, it’s a national park. Kind of expected.Shout out to our server Wesley who recommended the apple pie (which was insanely good, no joke) and provided us prompt and courteous service.Kid-friendliness: Kids were present, not sure if there’s an age cutoff as I didn’t see any very young children (younger than say 8-10)”
“We stopped here to get coffee during the visit of Grand Canyon. The store is well maintained with restroom and shared parking lot with other restaurants. The inside is well kept and has a nice seating arrangement as well. We didn't like the cappuccino, but the staff was very friendly and answered patiently about questions on the canyon. Very nice people.”
“Only posting this in hopes that the restaurant sees this. Have been trying to call you to place a large group pickup order for next Friday morning. Can you contact me please at 410-493-3201? My name is Rick. Thanks.”
“I was a little worried about food choices and prices when I lived in the park, but I found that although there were not many choices here, the taste was okay and the price/performance ratio was good.”
“Was a bit skeptical at first, but the food was delicious and all sorts of comforts like a fresh salad and beans with the medium steak.Decent prices, 15% surcharge as a tip (tip), but it is also very close to the Grand Canyon.Restrooms could smell better.”
