Now watching HGTV in Winslow Az, to do some improvements. One of the selected businesses is Root Beer Stand. New owners are doing their best to bring it back to a favorite destination for both locals and people passing thru to stop at. Next time I am in Arizona I look forward to stopping there!
Good food & good customer service! But when we ordered regular size hamburgers on our order we were told once we paid that they were out of stock, and we’d have to upsize to jumbos and pay the difference. That shouldn’t be on the customer due to items not being available..

The Root Beer Stand is a cozy spot that offers fast service and delicious food. The friendly staff quickly take orders, ensuring a quick dining experience. Despite the lack of a public restroom, the tasty cheeseburgers and root beer floats make up for it. The stand's cleanliness inside contrasts with the slightly dirty outdoor seating. While some found the chili fries bland, the root beer is a highlight. Visitors can also check out the nearby Art Cars on 300 W 1st St for a complete experience.
The restaurant is a bit on the expensive side, but the chili cheese fries with extra chili meat are well worth it, with plenty of meat and cheese in every bite. The root beer floats are also very good. The staff, though sometimes slow due to a high school reunion, are very friendly. The old building looks clean.
The chili fries are good, but the staff should remember to put extra "prep love" into the food preparation to make it even better. The hardworking staff should never forget about that "food prep love" to truly enjoy the day.
