Ah-So Reviews
Tried to pop in for lunch today and the service was absolutely terrible. We waited for over 20 minutes with no drink order being taken much less a food order and the place was a quarter full at most. The real kicker was the waitress who had walked by us no less than 10 times asked if we had been helped and to which I replied, no we had not. She just looked at us and walked off. I’ve not encountered such poor quality of service in a restaurant in a very long time. The service...read full review
My wife had visited Ah-So previously and had a great experience, so she chose to return with our family for her birthday. We went on a relatively quiet Wednesday and, to get the full hibachi experience, our party of six opted to sit at the grill. Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse.
Our chef performed the usual hibachi tricks—big flame intro, tossing the egg in the hat, and the onion volcano—well enough. However, halfway through cooking, he turned around...read full review

Ah-So is a must-visit restaurant in Yuma, located just a few steps away from a movie theater and outdoor mall, which brings in a good amount of foot traffic during afternoons and nights. The hibachi cooking by Juan C is outstanding, featuring flavorful steak, chicken, and shrimp. Customers admire Juan's skill and sense of humor, while another talented chef, Chandler, provides engaging service. Although some customers have raised concerns about MSG in the sauces, the quality of the sushi and friendly waitstaff still receive high praise. Recently, a customer enjoyed the yellow tail sushi but found the red tuna to be disappointing, describing it as rubbery. Despite this, they hope it was just an off night, as Ah-So is usually a favorite sushi bar in Yuma. The restaurant is generally clean, although some have noted the bathrooms could be improved. The food is delicious and always hot, with large portions, and while the service can be slow at times depending on the day and time, the overall food quality remains good, especially when there are limited options for Japanese and sushi in the area. Guests have had wonderful experiences for special occasions like birthdays, enjoying delicious Teriyaki plates and fun interactions with the chefs. The atmosphere is considered pretty generic for a restaurant, but Ah-So promises a delightful dining experience with skilled chefs, tasty food, and a beautiful aquarium, making it a great spot to visit. Overall, it is recommended to try at least once to experience the wonderful hot meals and fresh sushi, even though the food can be pricy depending on the order.
