We were a party of 8 and all of us had a great meal for breakfast. We will defiantly return. Keith was an excellent waiter.

Based on the reviews, La Doña | Mexican is a no thrills restaurant, not a 5 star, but a gem in the Foothills. The service was great, amazing, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The food was good, hot, and fresh. The chips and salsa were endless, though the salsa needs to be better. The chicken tamales with green sauce are a highlight, and the chile relleno was delicious. The machaca and eggs was delicious, with a nice array of different colored peppers. The rice was delicious and fluffy. The ground beef enchiladas were good, but the cheese enchiladas with green sauce had a doughy tortilla. The Green Chile (pork) looked unappealing, but the meat had no fat. The beans were a little bland. The inside is clean but depressing and not much to look at, with basic but comfortable booths. The price was good. The place was empty for a late lunch. Overall, it's fairly what you’d expect from a highway Mexican place, not bad at all, and some customers will definitely be back.
