“A nice, cozy, mexican cafe style atmosphere. Nothing spectacular but the food! I loved that the coffee, salsa and food plates were in the traditional colorful style clay designs. I ordered the chilaquiles plate. This is my go-to favorite and it was delicious and didn't disappoint! The salsas were exvellent I saw another patron was having the Machaca plate and that looked really good! Overall, a thumbs up first experience and I will be going back to try some more of their offerings.“

“My family and I went recently and enjoyed our food but what really made the experience great was our server Myra, always smiling and attentive, it’s nice to get a server that’s friendly now days because most are so rushed and don’t really give a care about customer service.“

“Food is amazingly good. We finally found an authentic delicious Mexican restaurant in Yuma. Everything we ordered was fresh authentic and hot. The Chile rellenos were the entire pepper with the stem. Authentic. All other places we tried had chunks and pieces wrapped in a sponge like coating. Terrible. This place is the real deal. Can’t wait To go back. Small quaint and clean place.“

“I had a nice experience here, with good service and tasty food. The burrito I ordered was large and filling, and the side order of fries was also large and hot. They have a nice selection of salsas too, and I didn't pay too much for such a good meal. I really recommend this place.“

“Never disappointed…always great service snd good food“
“Amazing food. Place was kind of hard to find because the map marker was placed across the street. But I corrected it. The pork torta was so delicious, the way she toasted the bread. My kids loved the food as well. Nice lady who works there! Highly recommend this place.“

“I was just passing through Yuma and really wanted to love this place given how close it is to the Mexican border — literally the closest crossing at Los Algodones (you could be across in about 30 minutes). But after visiting Chretin’s Mexican Food, a spot that hasn’t earned any awards in the last 10 years, it’s clear why.
The food is missing that real spark. Everything tastes scaled back and “gringa-sized” — like they’ve toned down the seasoning, heat, and authenticity to appeal to American palates. It’s not bad, but it’s not the bold, flavorful Mexican food you expect this close to the border.
The $11 margarita named “Perfect” was, not perfect or even close — it fell way short on balance and taste.“

“Mercy. It was so very, very good. I had the green chicken enchiladas. The sauce, tortillas, beans and rice were fabulous. Like, fresh and made from scratch kind of flavor. And the service was fantastic.
I even had a lady at the next table come talk to me about how great it is and that her brother comes weekly for years and years and always gets the green enchiladas. This place is, apparently, legendary. Absolutely worth a try!“

“Ana is amazing, the pupusas are amazing. We pulled up at 9 something because we thought she closed down at 10, and she said they were closed but she still made us some!! And they were so so so good. She also gave us a cup of fruit juice with actual fruit inclusions because I asked about the horchata (she was out). All of it was fantastic.“
“We stopped by after a long walk from the truck stops to have a burrito 🌯. We got two carne asada burritos, and let me tell you we were not disappointed. I think they have the best got dang green sauce I have ever had. Their red sauce was also pretty spicy, but paired super well with the cool green sauce. An amazing place to get a burrito. The atmosphere was amazing too, we got there when the sun was going down and got our food in an amazing sunset.“
“I got out of work late and the family was craving tacos. Our usual spot was closed so we drove around looking for trucks. Found this gem on 8th street. Seen previously on 32nd st by Vertical Church but never had a chance to try.
It was around late 11ish when we got there and thought he was closing down but he said they were still open and only had carnitas, al pastor and beef cheek left. So I ordered 10 al pastor tacos to try it out. They were sooo good! Kids were scarfing it down, hubie was makin a mess. There salsa was full of flavor and perfectly spicy. Throughout the whole chowdown the tortilla and meat stayed HOT HOT. I looked at them and we all nodded in agreement, time to order more!
I ordered 4 more al pastor and 1 of each of the other meats to taste.
Carnitas was crispy and had perfect texture.
Beef cheek was tender.
We also got 7up and Dr Pepper.
Everyone was perfectly satisfied.
Guy had great customer service, was friendly and answered all my questions. Super chill. Would definitely come here again.
Can't wait to try their other menu items. Will definitely recommend.“

“I was pleasantly surprised to find this hidden gem! The restaurant was bright, clean, and inviting, with smiles from each employee as I entered. I had planned to get something to go, but decided to take my time and eat in. \n\nI was seated right away. My server was friendly and professional. She advised me on some different selections that met my dietary restrictions. Everything I ordered was fresh and delicious. I was happy to have leftovers to take home (which they boxed up for me). Also, they had several different sauces on the table which were all Gluten Free! That was an unexpected bonus!“

“The atmosphere is casual and no-frills, but that’s part of the appeal—it feels like a local, family-style spot rather than a chain. Service is generally friendly and quick, making it a solid choice whether you’re dining in or grabbing takeout.“
