“Nice find for a more chill experience off the interstate. We stopped around 1 pm and it was quite empty. Beers are very good. We tried several appetizers and they were all very good. Servers were great. Prices reasonable. Overall way better experience than stopping at a mobbed fast food restaurant while passing through town.“

Tender of the bar Sara arrived and prepared a delightfully fresh white linen. She offered pleasant family oriented conversation. I cannot wait for the opportunity to bring my wife to Wednesday night "Girl Dinner". Once social hour wrapped up and my steak order was placed, Sara offered a surly Cabernet pairing. They are out of a lot of flavors (marketing ploy?) and didn't get them in for the month we were in the area.

May have stopped the kids from trying new flavors, but didn't stop them from wanting boba 😆“

“Thank you for opening up the patio and putting on the mist system early for me and my friend plus Dixie, our Mini Schnauzer puppy. We were traveling back to San Diego when the heat wave hit, and we needed a place to eat and relax that was also dog friendly, and had the capability to keep our young puppy cooled off outside in the 108 Deg. heat.
The ladies at this establishment were top notch! They made sure the patio area was cool, shaded and comfortable. They immediately brought us plenty of waters (for Dixie) and cold drinks, chips and salsa. They all adored our puppy Dixie, and related personal stories about their own schnauzers and golden doodles. With all of that said, we made sure to sit at the end of the patio, to be respectful of anyone that wanted to dine without a pet close by. We also kept our pup leashed and in an open air pet carrier sitting on a chair next to the mist and under shade ( this should be common sense but …), and away from other tables.
I am so grateful we found this place! Food is excellent, and better than a lot of San Diego Mexican Restaurants. I would have bought a gallon of the salsa served to us. Again, the hostess, and server were better than most front of the house staff we encounter in San Diego (not saying that San Diego doesn’t have top notch staff, but I am saying these women could school a lot of the wait staff in several SD restaurants).
I can see why they have been in business since 1946. If your headed to Phoenix, or the river take a right at the Shiloh inn exit and try this restaurant. We will be back!“

But, they lost my meal for 45 minutes while telling me they were just giving me the opportunity to eat my nachos before they got soggy… Nachos with Guacamole for an extra $2, that they forgot. Then brought this tiny cup of guacamole and charged full price. Finally, the chicken sandwich and fries show up. Go figure, the fries are lukewarm. Sandwich was really good. Told the bartender about the sad fries. Offered a replacement but not a discount. After an hour, I wasn’t going to wait for new fries. Went to pay, asked for the BWW military discount…. “We don’t do that, sorry”… ???? In a town with a thriving military base??? Well, it has nothing but Guinness to offer me. I probably won’t be back to eat there.“
