Another customer came in with a young child that also wanted a side of bacon and was quickly provided the food, not sure if there was a charge, but it was the fast service and willingness to provide that makes places like this more than just a fast food server. The Small Axe is a small diner style restaurant that is jam-packed with personality! The eye-opening story behind their name is printed on their huge menus. We had the Sparta-choke Dip and the French Onion soup. Perfect for a stormy day. For drinks we had the Strawberry Lemonade and the Jessie Spano cocktail (Espresso Martini). For dessert we enjoyed their special cheesecake for the day and coffees.

Our server, Glen, was really inviting and knowledgeable about the menu! We appreciate the detail that has been put into curating all the décor, from the vintage video game machines to the neon signs on the wall. There are so many things to look at, you could be there all day! Definitely a great place to try if you're in Enderby!”

“We had an amazing stay at the Castle. All of the staff were so polite and friendly, and even offered our friend the Penthouse for his birthday! The room was massive (two beds, two bathrooms, full kitchen), and all of the amenities were top notch! The room was clean and comfortable, with massive amounts of space for the two of us. We stayed two nights and enjoyed the pool and hot tub for as long as we could. This is an excellent property and next time we're in the area, we will be staying here again!”

“Excellent pub with amazing service! We went to pick up our race packages for the S2S nordic race and hand a hankering for a beer. Found Long Johns in the corner by the market. After ordering some drinks the waitress let us know about the specials and we were sold on the burger even though we just ate. It was excellent and hit the spot. They had stella in a bottle and DINO SOURS my favorite. The burger was excellent and we had some onion rings as well - hopefully they'll help speed us on the down hills during the race. :) Highly recommend Long Johns if you're up at the Star. Definitely going back tomorrow after the race to refuel!”
