“I recently visited Farmer John's for the first time. I was especially impressed with their main barn. Their cattle looked happy and well cared for. There were thick beds of sand for them to lay in, large fans and misters to keep them cool on hot summer days, and they looked well nourished. The staff was warm and friendly, they had a nice selection of goods in their store and the ice cream cones were very yummy. Finally, there is plenty of outside seating to enjoy your snacks and a wonderful playground for the kids. Thank you!”

JJs Pizza was my 10th eatery in Armstrong.

JJs Pizza offered pizza by the slice. There were two ham and pineapple and one deluxe slices. Not much selection so I picked one of each. It was just after 2pm.

There was Pepsi Lime by the can which is very difficult to find anywhere.

There were 3 tables available for dine in as well.

The woman working sounded like she was going to make more Pizza by the slice for the next customer as only one ham and pineapple slice remained. I couldn't help but feel responsible for that customer's misfortune. She agreed to pick the remaining ham and pineapple slice.

I really liked the taste of the crust.

The ham and pineapple slice had so many slices of pineapple in it.

Overall I was happy with my slices and the pleasant Pepsi Lime surprise.

I recommend coming here but you may need to be here before 2pm for Pizza by the slice.

I paid approximately $8 for both slices and the soda.”

“I asked to go here for part of my Christmas present (it's quite a drive for us.) I loved the bacon brie burger. The portions aren't meant for those with super large appetites, but for those who want a better bun, burger pattie, toppings, sauces etc. very satisfying. I would like to try the smoked salmon eggs Bennie if they have it on special next time. Plus I am regretting not buying a few jars of the Heloise relish that I ordered on the side. next time!”

“I used to skip out of class and come down here for sausage rolls all the time when I was in high school. Was that responsible? No. Was it worth it? Yes. I've tried a variety of their other products as well, and the worst of their baked goods are merely mediocre. The vast majority ranges from quite good to excellent. But those sausage rolls...

This place basically kept me alive back when I was a constantly-famished teenager willing to sacrifice my entire education for a bit of protein wrapped in pastry. Those sausage rolls are to die for.”

Subway was my eighth eatery in Armstrong.

I had a foot long veggie delite and soda for just over $14 on ghost pepper bread.

They were a little light on the toppings despite me asking for all veggies and extra pickles and jalapeños.

For some reason they ask what sauce you want before they put on the vegetables. I think this is the only Subway in the world that does this.

My sandwich had the familiar Subway taste.

I was surprised how many tables and plug in outlets there were for a small town Subway.

The customer next to me and I talked about our past experiences of seeing the Blue Jays play in Toronto.

It took about seven minutes for my sandwich to be made with one customer in front of me. He bought three sandwiches.

Overall I had a good experience with this Subway.

Staff was friendly but there was an odd miscommunication at checkout.

“Ordered a dinner with a substitution and they asked if it was cause of an allergy or celiacs. Told them it was for celiacs and they suggested that the soya sauce and oyster sauce be removed. I was very impressed that they suggested that. Good on you to know what's all in for ingredients. Great job!!!!!”

I haven't had a McDonald's meal that I have enjoyed in years, it's always a last minute decision out of desperation.

I popped into the drive through, on a road trip. I ordered the small $5 big Mac meal with an add-on of 4 nuggets, for about $8.50 with tax.

The customer service was excellent all the way from ordering, through being handed my meal. The nuggets were hot and crunchy, and actually came with the dipping sauce. The fries were fresh and hot. And my burger was hot, juicy and the cheese was actually melted. It was actually too much food, I couldn't finish it, great deal. Thank you, it hit all the cravings!”
