“A home style cooking restaurant. The dishes are not elegantly plated it is more like what your family would serve at dinner. The combo is decent value, Miso soup or black tea, rice, fried tofu, stir fried Taiwanese cabbage, and a choice of 2 mains. We choose Kung Pao chicken and satay beef. The decor is basic and a bit run down but the service was quick and the food tasted good. Like many Asian businesses in Metro Vancouver, they prefer cash. You can pay with cash or debit card but if you really want to pay with credit there is a 50¢ charge. They will also charge 50¢ for a takeout container.“

“I always order the Egg & Prawn Fried Rice along with the Deep-Fried Squid Tentacles whenever I visit — and they never disappoint. The flavors are consistently satisfying, and the rest of their menu is just as delicious. Definitely one of the best Taiwanese restaurants to try in BC.“

“I must have been there over a dozen times. I tried many things on their menu.
In general their chicken dishes are all very tasty! The beef in the curry beef or the beef noodle are also tender and juicy, however the noodle was less impressive but decent. The Taiwanese style 卤肉饭 was not bad but my friend really dislike the 红烧肉饭。
If I have to complain about something, it’s one of the side dishes in the combo. Boiled broccoli was okay (not a big fan of broccoli either but it’s okay as broccoli), BUT the stir fried glass noodle was …. pretty bad…really. I will ask for two sides of broccoli next time when I order combo.“

“Reading these reviews make me so confused! Maybe it’s because I tried it after they put up the “under new management” sign.
Last week I went to Aroma which is on the opposite side of Crystal mall, and has a much higher rating, and was very disappointed with their popcorn chicken and beef noodle soup.
This week I decided to give Hanju a try, and it was far far better. The chicken is perfectly seasoned with the deep fried basil leaves, and the beef in the beef noodle soup just melts in your mouth. No carrot or radish fillers (the taste is there, it’s just not served as chunks) you actually get green veggies. They have some imported Taiwanese drinks as well.
The price is not cheap, but we would come back for our next Taiwanese food craving, especially with baby in tow. They have some children’s books and the seats are a lot more comfortable and clean than its competitor on the other side of the mall.“
“Best Malaysian fast food in the city! So much variety. Everything is great. The roti curry is great at $5. The laksa noodle soups are huge and tasty!“

“Went here on a Friday night and the place was absolutely packed, families, couples, everyone happily slurping away. Even with the lineup, I only waited about 5 minutes, which felt like a small miracle.
The menu is HUGE, so honestly… do yourself a favour and scroll through some review photos before you go. I played it safe and ordered the beef noodle soup with shrimp wontons and asked for the spicy sauce on the side, because once you add it, there’s no going back 😅.
Portion was massive, flavour was amazing, and the soup came out lava hot, so don’t be a hero like me and try to dive in right away.
Also ordered tea, which goes perfectly with the soup and makes you feel like you’re making healthy choices even though you’re destroying a giant bowl of noodles.
Definitely coming back to try more dishes (and some drinks too!). Great spot!“
