“We enjoy visiting this spot after hitting the distillery up the road. It’s got warm and down to earth vibe with plenty of seating on the main floor or upstairs, board games and non-alcoholic options. Of the couple times we’ve visited, service can be a little hit or miss. Beers themselves are also fine. Tap handles are often out.”

“WOW! Where to start? This place is INCREDIBLE, was lucky enough to get a lil tasty test taste over the weekend and I CAN NOT RECOMMEND IT ENOUGH! We had the gyoza, the STICKLE, the chicken, the pork and the eggplant sandwich (good bread), and the ice cream sandwich! I was STUFFED and still wanted to try more! What can I say other than, ‘chefs kiss’ if they were to make a second ratatouille movie this would be the place where they’d send that mean restaurant critic to and then him eat something and him loving it so much!”

“Amazing experience the slices are massive and the staff are super kind and informative. Me and my wife got the salami and honey; the pizza was so goood. Will recommend to my friends and family. Always will be a great place to visit in Tofino.

“The workers there were so chill and the coffee and treats were incredible. I had an iced lattee with oat milk with a parfait and the ranger cookie. GET THE RANGER COOKIE IF YOU CAN, it was delightful.

The staff there were very friendly. When we walked in the barista was speaking with a customer about their partners and made sure to let us know they would be with us soon. I felt like I was taken care of while old friends were chatting. It had a very calm atmosphere and the coffee was delicious!”

“We had dinner tonight with our one and half year old and three and half year old boys. We haven't been in years, but had our whole dinner wedding reception with the back in 2018. Had a burger, calamari and red seafood curry, all amazing!! service was great, love the new location. Beautiful space with an ocean view. But where they went above and beyond....right as we were finishing up, out baby was getting restless, and then our 3 yr old had a spill off the bar height chair, smashing his plate. Luckily all the food was pretty well eaten and he was alright after being surprised by the fall. After cleaning up, they had pretty well cleaned it all up, gave him a new toy car, which he was thrilled about and took the appy off our bill. They certainly didn't have to and it was in no way, their fault. They also all showed great concern for his well being. Anyways, we always love coming to Shelter when we visit from Nanaimo, and can't wait to come back. Thanks so much ❤️”

“We have been here twice, we love this resort. We had Browns Socialhouse, the burger was great and my husband had the Alfredo which he said that was really good also. Sam that works there has really good customer service, really polite and friendly. Way to go Sam, we need more people like you. :) Hope to see you guys again soon.:)
