Not their finest hour! Tap pump was not working, full house of FIFA viewers. Also seafood chowder not ready for lunch and none of my beef dip was piping hot when it arrived. We had a good gathering and certainly didn't go hungry or thirsty.

Large servings and thoughtful staff

I'm giving one important star because I have no other choice. The service was non existent.
We walked in.... Seat yourself...we did.Immediately a young busser came and wiped out table(so we were noticed initially).The pub was reasonably busy. We were having a relaxing day. No rush.
We waited. We waited some more . And we waited even more. The server in our section was two tables over. She was chatting away with a table of young gentlemen. It became clear she either knew them or wanted to. She laughed and chatted engaging in all kinds of chit chat. It was clearly not about an order(you could hear her talking about fast cars and personal experiences). She just kept talking and talking.She had been chatting with them as we walked in. She never even glanced our way. No other workers saw or cared that we were still sitting there.
We decided to give it 5 more minutes or leave. This would make it about 15 minutes of waiting without a menu, a drink order, water, or even notice.
We left.
I did go up to the person at their order computer located up front at the bar. I told her we were leaving and why. Pointed out the sever in our section who was still laughing and talking at the same table. She looked totally shocked. I said I know it's not your fault or issue but you should be aware of why we were leaving.
She said she was sorry this happened. Then silence. No offer to rectify. Just I'm sorry. Goodbye.
We left.
This was very disappointing. We had driven all the way from the Malahat to check this place out.
All I know is the atmosphere was nice. No idea about anything else. Oh yes except the service; disappointing at best.

Great local watering hole that caters to locals and tourists alike. If you're traveling with family and kiddos they have a special section for seating. We dropped in for a late lunch; selected Onion rings for appetizer. Entrees selected the double burger and grilled fish tacos. Everything was served piping hot from the kitchen delivered by our outstanding server. The burger was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. The grilled fish tacos were delicious too!

Update: The food and service was absolutely appalling and disgusting on my last visit. I can not recommend this place at all. If you are visiting the area, there are two really good Pubs in the same area.

When my order arrived it was luke warm, when I pointed it out to the waitress she touched it with her hand and said they would make a new one, she returned no more than 3 minutes later, clearly with the same order she had just touched.

Great neighborhood pub, plenty of seating and lots of TVs to watch sports on. Food and atmosphere are great, daily lunch specials so far have been tasty and interesting. Previously gave them 5/5, but I have found the service to be hit or really miss lately.

Parking lot doesn't flow smoothly. Staff are very friendly. Cost is on par ($9CAD subtotal) for a pint of beer on tap. Atmosphere is what you could expect for a pub. Can't rate for food as I didn't order any food. Rating 4/5, would recommend for a solid pub drinking experience.
