Great place, lovely food. Everytime i go though service is not great; not really friendly. Ive gone a couple times at different days thinking maybe servers were having a bad day, but hasn't changed. I think I'll stop going sadly, not sure whats going on with the staff.

Upscale vibe. Nice view of the harbor. Would like to see a few more BC wines by the glass or local ciders. Fish and chips were hearty and delicious. Would go again. Eight minutes drive from Buchart gardens, which had no viable food and drinks options.

Joined friends at the busy pub for lunch recently. The most outstanding part was Ethan, our server. He’s a young man with a look-you-in-eyes engaged attitude and great service. Best service in many years and many countries. Everyone in our group certainly enjoyed their food too.

Great lunch spot and really super service from Christina. We had the chowder and the burger and fries. One of the best burgers we have had in a while. The fries are super hot and crisp and stay that way in their stainless steel bowl. Nice fireplace, lovely patio, lots of parking...

Spent 3 days at the resort, and had supper here each night. Apart from a seating issue the first night, we found the staff, service, price and food all to be very good to excellent. Would recommend. Best to go early to later ( after 7), as they were full every night for supper hours.

This has always been a staple and a gem that’s close by for my wife and I . We used to come here countless times . We found the customer service got lost but we still came then it just faded from our rotation of restaurant’s to go to . We have gone back a few times and oh have been so lucky ! We have had Brooke as a server for many of those times and she really has brought the spark back to this place for us ! Not only does she know her roll but exceeds it! Brooke made us feel special and made sure are experiences the last few times for us was over and above . Not only with us but my wife and I saw how she treated every customer and how she tended to all our needs differently and made sure everyone was extremely happy . She knows the menu , she knows the wine and she treats everyone like family . She is an asset to this place and has made it our top spot again . The kitchen , the greeters and the rest of the staff wowed us all tonight and we hope to have Brooke as our server next time we dine at The Pub at Brentwood Bay Resort . Thanks for the top notch service ,that we know and love from this gem of a pub in little old Brentwood Bay!!!

Love the pub. Love the restaurant too. Chefs at both are able to adjust menu for gluten and dairy. My favorite pub dish is the fish Tacos (I opt for unattended and corn tortillias.) The view is fabulous and there is a seasonal patio too.

Do not order the fish and chips. It was pretty awful. Overcooked, overbreaded. The breading without fish in it (1/2 the dish) was rock hard. Really hard to put into words how bad it was.

2 tacos for $20, I would have expected 3 tacos or a small side salad but nothing except a wedge of lime. Sushi roll for $16 which I suppose is average but the presentation was poor. The cheesecake was good, view is lovely. Service okay

My family and I eat here at least once or twice a year, usually in the summer when we can get a table overlooking Saanich Inlet. Food and service are typically very good.

Our last visit a few days ago wasn’t quite up to par. Service was pretty slow, but it was a busy Saturday evening, and the place was nearly full. Took a while to place our drink order after being seated, then a good 10 minutes for the drinks to arrive. Food was a good 30 minute wait. And it took a looong time to get the bill when we were ready to go. All no big deal given how busy it was.

Unfortunately, the ambiance when seated in the upper level of the pub isn’t awesome, so that made the long waits less pleasant. Our view was split between an ok view toward the water on one side, and a large screen tv playing MMA fighting on the other - none of us really wanted to watch bloodied fighters going at it while I’m out for a family dinner.

As for the food…not great. Sushi was decent, but for some reason the soy sauce was unusually salty, as was the dipping sauce for the order of gyozas. My Korean Beef Bowl was over-sauced, making it almost soupy. And the Poke Rice Bowl was ok, but (consistent with a trend we’ve seen at many restaurants) the amount of tuna was not generous.

I’ve given the 4-star rating taking into account that my experience is usually better. I will go back, but I won’t be in a rush.
