The Lodge Kitchen & Bar

We had a great happy hour at Lodge Kitchen & Bar. The fried prawns, onion rings, and truffle fries were outstanding, while the margarita pizza was just okay. The service was professional, and the beautiful interior made for a wonderful atmosphere.

As always the food here was great. The sushi is surprisingly and reliably excellent. However on this visit the service (shout out to Ethan!) was also excellent, which is unfortunately not always the case.

We just had an amazing Canada Day lunch while we were waiting for the ferry. Ethan was our server and they were so professional, kind, helpful, and very attentive to our needs.

We are locals and love the environment and the consistency of service and food.

Cannot wait to be back!! Happy Canada Day too everyone working today!! We notice your dedication and respect your level of service!!

Atmosphere is nice and the view is excellent! Food and service on the other hand was not so great. Ordered a burger to share and the bread just fell apart making it very difficult to eat.
Very disappointing experience.

Just go elsewhere

I went for happy hour with friends yesterday and was really disappointed to find out the cauliflower bites are no longer vegan, as they were a go to. The food is always good, and our celiac friend is safe to eat there, but it was disappointing that while all my friends ordered off the happy hour menu I was stuck ordering off the regular menu when in the past that wasn’t the case. We’ll be changing where we go for happy hour now

We went to the Brentwood Bay pub for my wife’s birthday on Sunday. We are regulars there annd enjoy the food and the service. My beef is we had a table of eight … 2 of which were very well behaved children under five and when I got the bill which was a total of $330 They added a $47 service charge which we were not told about. I really don’t know what that was for as I also left the $50 cash tip on the table for the waitress who was very good. Was the charge for them putting three tables together? I definitely feel that they should’ve told us before we sat down!

Never have the mussels

We were taken to a table, then noticed a patio table had just been cleaned so we asked to move from the doorway table to it and were told that once we sat down, their POLICY didn't let us move. We were astounded! We questioned this and the waitress was very rude, refusing to let us move even though we had not even looked at the menu, the table was empty and not reserved and the place was not full. We decided to leave but the bartender who reluctantly allowed us to move to the vacant table. Unbelievable! Whoever heard of such a policy? Or such awful treatment?

It's a lovely view if you get a seat outside.

The food & service had been pretty good in the past. Perhaps it was a bad night but everything seemed to take a very long time. Service was perfunctory and indifferent until she brought the bill--so tacky to be nice just then.

Lots of alternative choices in the area.

Waited half an hour to be seated today, despite lots of available seats inside. When we finally ordered, we waited almost an hour to get our food. Thrice in that time we were sent food that we didn’t order. Food was mediocre at best, some of it was lukewarm. Beautiful view, but the noise level inside makes it unpleasant.

Took forever to get a table, host let people cut in line. Finally got a table and waited FOREVER for the food. Server didn’t come back to check drinks, food was mediocre at best. Super dissatisfied.

Fantastic atmosphere with a beautiful view off the deck as we ate. Food was exceptional but a tad pricey but that’s expected for the quality and experience. Serving staff were friendly and had zero issue when we changed tables to sit outside. Highly recommend.
