Service is good, but to mach russian junk food

A lot of russian food… it’s sad

Quality of prepared food is not good. Should hire someone who knows how to cook. Pirogies , borsht, soups are terrible.

A nice shop in the Kingsway Plaza, it features many Ukrainian food items. The store is neatly stocked and tidy, the staff was friendly as she did recommend me to try different items. It's worth a visit if you're trying to find some Ukrainian goods.

Love this little Ukrainian shop! Look, this is a small store. It’s not perfect, they obviously can't have the largest selection or stock, and some people in the reviews are complaining that they sell Russian products. Yes, they sell products from many different Eastern European countries. A lot of people in Canada have mixed Eastern European backgrounds: Ukrainian, Russian, Polish, etc. That’s very common, and people expect to find products from across the region. They still support/donate to Ukraine, which is what matters.

As for the food quality, it’s incredible. The fresh food is amazing. The cakes are some of the best I’ve ever had, and I’m honestly not sure how I’ll go back to cakes from other places now. The salads, especially the eggplant and carrot salads, are delicious.

The lady working there was also extremely helpful when I was picking dry/smoked fish and pelmeni. They also have a large selection of perogies. Overall a great experience. Highly recommended if you’re looking for Eastern European goods.

Ukrainian 420 neigbour here - was looking for munchies - reading ur reviews made me loose appetite..

Was happy to find an opportunity to support a business selling Ukrainian products but was shocked at the price of a very small plum cake ($50!! - really?!). Settled for an overpriced piece of poppy seed cake ($20) which turned out to be so stale we had to throw it out. Absolutely terrible.

Selling russian produce in UKRAINIAN store, in those days is a literal sacrilege. Supporting and financing russias WAR IN Ukraine is just horrible. Your store only deserves to be named “Taste of Ukrainian Blood”

It’s hard to believe that this Ukrainian store keeps selling russian produce as well as using russian language while collecting donations for Ukraine.
Owners should give a better thought to their branding and values.

I really don't write bad reviews, but this store need to upgrade all their service, prices and quality of products. Anyways in my experience to buy their products I like to say that prices are extremely high. Don't buy in this store, and specially perogies. it's bad.

I got these dumplings/perogies or whatever this garbage is, but it says it has pork in it, but there’s either no pork or maximum 10% pork. It tastes like an absolute inedible garbage and it was the worst dumplings/perogies ever I had in my life. If you see it, never buy these. The worst $15 spent.

I used to love this shop and often stopped by to pick up the delicious cabbage rolls. Saturday I visited the store on Kingsway and was shocked that 2 cabbage rolls cost an extraordinary $16! I may not have minded if the cabbage rolls were exceptional but these lacked flavour and the dab of sauce didn't improve the taste. It is a shame this little shop that previously offered such wonderful home made items has declined so dramatically. Sadly, I will take 'A Taste of Ukraine' off my list.

Excellent! I have noticed Rye Bread getting hard to find. But not here. Nice heavy loaves of different rye breads to choose from. Healthy and tasty. No more white bread for me. My first time here. The Ukrainian potato salad is sooo delicious. Nothing compares. Lots of great deli meats, smoked fish, and the Sour Cream loaf dessert I bought was heavenly. I will be regular here. Lots of wonderful healthy foods to discover. Great Store. Great Service
