Food is amazing, service is just okay. But the main problem is the table especially for two people table is so small. It’s kind of awkward when your elbows are stretched out

Other than increasing the price significantly, they are short staff. Took long time to just get your order.

I specifically came for this promotion, but the staff told me it was ended early. After seeing all the other comments, it’s clear many customers were misled the same way. This feels like a scam and a very dishonest way to run a business.
Received the worst service this evening. My boyfriend and I came in and were seated shortly after. We waited patiently for someone to come and take our order. They continued to seat other customers who came in. I understand that they were busy but after waiting no one took our order. My boyfriend held his hand up in the air to grab someone’s attention. The servers would glance our way but would not take our order. They continued to sit other customers that came in and took their order. At this point I started feeling upset because NO ONE would take our order. They took orders of other customers who came AFTER US. This behaviour is unacceptable and so we just left.
I am extremely disappointed as I enjoy coming to this restaurant and enjoy the food.

The food is here great, no problems there. However, the service here is outlandishly poor.

I had dinner there with family. Food and service were great. What I found disturbing was that during payment, when I scanned the app to collect loyalty points, I didn't get any points until I called the restaurant. The reception said that sometimes there will be a delay. I asked if the delay is in hours or days? She said it depends. She sounded unsure and suspicious. She said that she would talk to the manager. An hour later, I got a call from the manager, she confirmed that I would get my points later as it was scanned properly. However, instead of adding to my existing loyalty points, they took 81 points away from my account. That loyalty program is a scam.
I have been to the Boiling Point on Main Street and had received my points within 30 mins. If they can't honor the point system, why offer it? If you don't care about the loyalty points program, then having dinner there is a good choice on a cold day. However, if the restaurant isn't being honest or is using shady business practices to get you to return as a customer, then I definitely won't be going back to this Kingsway location again.

Totally awful, greedy. They had an item out of stock, let me to make an update or cancel, but charge me in full after cancelling. Uber said the store would get the full amount of the order, but they refused to make the food for me to pickup, just took my money and did nothing. Never order again.

The waitress is very impatient. I didn’t have a good experience. Food is very overpriced with what you get.
Go to Gokudo Shabushabu instead. It’s similar priced but with way much better service.

Found a bug in the pot. And got food poisoning after giving it a first try. Just file my case to the local health authority. I hope they will close down ASAP.

The chief is so lazy that they didn’t bother to separate the meat while cooking. So the food arrived raw.

Terrible service – won’t be coming back.
After years away from Boiling Point, I gave it another try and immediately regretted it. Our server (Cynthia) spilled food on my clothes and didn’t even apologize. When we asked to split the bill, we were met with eye-rolling and a terrible attitude. I also asked a simple question about the charges and was spoken to like I was a nuisance. Dining out should be enjoyable—not uncomfortable and disrespectful. I’ll stick with Big Way from now on

I don’t know why anyone would still come here. I’ve never liked this place, but my partner and friends still do, so I tag along.
After all, their birthday 50% off + free drink deal is not bad. So it’s worth going… once a year, at most.
Service is subpar. Extremely understaffed. Probably rude because the owner pays them minimum wage. Service is almost always typically proportional to how the owner treats them. So next time instead of blaming the service staff, blame the owner instead.
What irks me is how they give you the rice immediately, but the actual soup hot pot isn’t coming out until 15 minutes after. So you expect us to eat cold rice?
Or waste the rice since it’s unlimited refills? Makes no sense. Efficiency my ass.
For $21-25, you can literally walk 4 blocks west towards Metrotown and have AYCE at Happy Lamb on weekday lunch. Yes, ALL YOU CAN EAT for the same price, with significantly better quality in everything (except the sauce).
Personally I don’t know why boiling point still exists. If AYCE is too much, you can customize your own pot at Big Way for the same price, and be more full.
There’s literally zero USP (unique selling proposition) for this business. I personally don’t get why anyone else would still come.
I suggest they fold when the lease is up.

I haven't had boiling point for years and decided to try it again after countless visits to Big way. Unfortunately this one employee in particular (Cynthia) really ruined and made me regret my decision. The Experience here was really disappointing, When the food was brought to our table, the server rushed so much that it ended up spilling onto my pants. Accidents happen, but there was no apology or effort to acknowledge it at all.
Later, when we asked for the bill and mentioned that we wanted to split it between friends, we were met with a lot of unnecessary attitude. It felt like we were being a burden just for making a simple, common request. I even asked a straightforward question about the charges, and again, the tone and attitude were just completely uncalled for.
Dining out is supposed to be an enjoyable experience, but the service here made it uncomfortable. I hope they can work on their customer service going forward.

Poor service. Customers are not attended to properly. Drivers face long pickup lines, causing delays of 20–25 minutes, which are not managed efficiently.
