Always reliable in their coffee craftsmanship! I visit occasionally for years now, but I have never once been disappointed. The only downside is that they have limited seating, so they are better for a take-out option. However, if you do chance to have a seat, the atmosphere is quite cozy and relaxing!

It is the sort of modest corner spot that quietly does its job without pretense. The space is small, just enough seats to keep it intimate rather than crowded, with a couple of outdoor tables for those who find traffic oddly therapeutic. Watching the cars crawl up and down Royal Oak does feel a bit like observing salmon insistently pushing upstream.

The coffee and croissants are perfectly serviceable. Not the kind that makes you write poetry, but certainly good enough to start a day or to pause in the middle of one. Daily fuel, not a grand affair.

My one wish: if the croissant arrived on a plate instead of in its paper pouch, and the coffee in a proper mug rather than a takeaway cup, it would feel less rushed and more gracious. Sometimes the small details shift a café from merely good to quietly delightful.

Was here for a meeting. The matcha latte and croissant were phenomenal.

I appreciated how matcha it was. Matcha latte usually isn't my go to drink but I'd order this again at cafe 106. Croissant had amazing texture and fresh.

Ambiance was nice and low-key, giving off intimate and community vibe. Highly recommend if you're in the area!

Personal favourite is their Churro Croffle :)

Honest thoughts?
Service is as standard as there is.. you order before seating.. and essentially you service yourself with the supplies you need for your food and beverage.

You also clean up after yourself for the most part.. so tipping is definitely an optional choice since tipping is for the act of actual service.

But then again, to each their own. If you wanna tip despite having to do pretty much everything yourself, go ahead :)

It is a really cute coffee shop but they really need to invest in an air conditioner unit. Having all the doors and windows opened with industrial like air fans kills the vibe of the coffee shop and it also gets really stale and stuffy in there on a hot summer’s day. Someone could get heatstroke in there.

This is a hidden gem in this local community. The cafe is off the main strip of cafes and it is so so good. Especially there pastries

Love this place, definitely would be back.
I think this is one of the best chai lattes I’ve ever had, it was on point. The staff are really kind, I forgot to ask for almond milk on my latte but I told them and they changed it!
The sandwich was good, it had a bunch of veggies, and the chicken was good.

I don’t even like coffee, but the iced vanilla latte is the best coffee beverage I’ve ever had; I would genuinely drink this every single day! If you like coffee, you’ll LOVE their lattes. They also have other baked goods which are pretty good too, but definitely try their lattes!

Typical van cafe - sit for two hours, unlimited Wi-Fi, self-serve water, free use of washroom.
Under $10, in the city, you can find your own space. Everyone minds their own business.

Very Chill space to have a drink like coffee or cold drink, chat with a friend . I enjoyed their strawberry Lemonade and had a nice view as waiting for my car to be fixed in a nearby garage.

We live in this neighborhood before but when we moved, my husband and I still come back and go to this cafe.

Their breads are a must try. Love them! My favorite is their caramel machiato, iced and hot. If only I can have more shots of coffee a day! You can ask them to reduce the coffee to make the taste lighter.

Definitely coming back here for sure. Like, now. See ya!

Update:
Note that they do have a coupon/points card, so if you like their coffee, don't forget to ask. It's good to have a delicious free coffee!

I have new photos too! Check it out!

How about food safety?
I stopped by today for coffee and sandwich and the lady at the cashier seem to have no training regarding the food handling. She moved around the kitchen touching everything and making sandwiches with no washing hands in between despite the fact that the owner responded to other people complaints regarding food safety that they train their staff!! Please pay attention to this. It is serious issue.

No food safety!
I visited this cafe with my husband today and I ordered a panini as we were waiting for the sandwich to be grilled I saw the staff who was a girl making the sandwich touching every where and then go back to making sandwiches again with no gloves or at least washing her hand! So gross.last visit
