“I discovered Park Crest Diner on TikTok, and I’m so glad we decided to check it out! This beautiful diner has a charming late-’50s vibe, with lovely decor, a super-clean space, and a welcoming atmosphere. We were greeted promptly and warmly, and the service made us feel right at home.

The food was good, too! The hash browns weren’t greasy, and my Denver omelette was delicious. What I loved most was the place's relaxed, unpretentious feel. It’s comfortable, laid-back, and exactly the kind of diner where you can sit back and enjoy a good breakfast without any fuss.

We don’t live nearby, but Park Crest Diner is definitely worth the trip. We’ll be back! 😊“

Fish and chips came with equal amounts of both, which translates into lots. “I recently visited The Basic on Main Street in Vancouver with my best friend and my two kids, and we had such a wonderful experience. The atmosphere is casual, comfortable, and gives off a really wholesome family vibe — perfect for a relaxed meal out. I ordered the veggie hash, which was absolutely amazing — fresh, flavorful, and super satisfying. The kids loved their pancakes, and my daughter was thrilled with her hot chocolate topped with whipped cream (a big hit!). Our server, Jesse, was fantastic. She was friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome throughout the meal. Overall, great food, great service, and great vibes. We’ll definitely be back!“

First time I've been here in 50 years and it will not be the last. The sole waitress was also the hostess, cashier, busser, and coffee refiller. The owner cooked, served and cashier. With restaurants dropping like flies in Vancouver due to high cost and labour shortage, it's amazing to see how efficiently this old school diner is run to keep labour cost and menu prices down.“
