But after savouring OMG Macarons, I had no interest in choosing from a pile of mass produced macarons. I happily came home to Comox and bought some delightful, hand crafted, unique OMG macarons. “This is a prime Tim hortons location. Staff are quite friendly, fast, and consistent. The location tends to not be as busy as others in the area, at least outside of peak morning hours. The kicker is that they regularly stock donuts that are very seldom seen at other locations and are rock star products - especially the strawberry vanilla and sugar old fashion plain. I will continue coming here happily and suggest you do too.Cheers!“
“I’ve only tried a couple of things here, but they were quite good. the bakery is in a very out-of-the-way place with inadequate parking inside. That being said, I will go back and try more of their goodies to go. Staff was helpful and polite.“

“I’ve bought their focaccia bread regularly since moving to the valley 9 years ago and their take & bake pizzas are always a 10/10 as well. But today (for the first time) we tried their cinnamon buns and despite me not being a lover of sweets I ended up convincing my kids to share half of theirs with me because they were TO DIE FOR!!! Not to mention, we were there on a year-end Scavenger hunt from our piano teacher and the customer service, kindness, and general friendly vibe was something you don’t often see. Thank so much to all of you amazing staff at Vassili’s! We will (of course) be back and felt fortunate to get to share your amazing gifts with our new-to-the-valley friends!“
“I’ve only been here for a coffee and a cinnamon bun, but they were both quite good. some of the better cinnamon buns in town. Service was very good. The place does lack some atmosphere, but it’s a nice quiet place to have a coffee and a bite to eat. Very limited seating area.“
“Went today for the first time since it changed ownership. I had always found it only mediocre before. Today was amazing. The server was amazing…polite, friendly, went above and beyond. Our perogies were delicious and it was the best cabbage roll I’ve ever had (apart from my own mother’s! lol and I’m very picky about cabbage rolls). It was my son’s 12th birthday and all he wanted was perogies and this did not disappoint! We will be back and spreading the word. Thank you so much ❤️“
“We had the chocolate yeast donut for the hot chocolate festival. What a wonderful, hearty, chocolatey pastry! I love good yeast donuts, and this is a winner. Not too sweet. Excellent glaze. The chocolate on top is super delish. Nice layer without overwhelming the donut flavor. Really happy with this place!“
“I love Mudsharks so much. Their bowls and coffee are really good and I feel like they really have figured out how to run a good cafe here in the valley. The cafe is both a healthy social space for those meeting up with others for coffee or food, but they also have supported space for those of us who work from home. Sometimes it can be really isolating and hard to focus, and I get nervous trying new cafes because sometimes they don't allow laptops (even if it isn't busy). I appreciate Mudsharks for allowing space for us to work here–there are a lot of us who really appreciate it.“

HOWEVER, Isaac at the till said ‘no problem’, gave us what we wanted (as they have much remaining at the end of the day) and was so helpful to us. “I typically like to stop in for an early afternoon cookie and their selection consists of some very good cookies. My favourites include a malted chocolate chip cookie and a gluten free chocolate cookie. There are an other choices available and all are good. Their bread pudding is quite decadent and is also a good dessert item. The staff are friendly and there are tables available to those that wish to stay and relax while they enjoy their coffee and snack.“
