“their gelato’s snd sorbets are SO GOOD!! they taste very natural and have perfectly strong flavours. they recently bumped up the prices so it’s pretty expensive for the serving size you get but it’s also one of my favourite places to get gelato and sorbet.”

“Stopped by for lunch on a rainy Saturday in November. It wasn't busy when we arrived and the service was prompt and friendly. The salmon burger and fries were excellent; it was wild caught salmon and was perfectly cooked. My friend had the burger and fries and that was also very good size portion and tasty. The island farms ice cream was very good as well and the scoops are really big. We also ordered americanos and they were excellent. Don't let the quirky statues and carvings deter you from stopping by for breakfast, lunch, coffee or ice cream.”

“I don't know what it is but I get a craving for kfc about once a month and this place fills that void . I've never had bad chicken here and enjoy it so much that I can't stop eating it until it's all gone . Good work and thank you.

“Amazing products and service! Bought 2 pieces of cheesecake here - the lemon curd (recommended) and plain - and both are decadent!! Best cheesecake I have ever purchased from a store. And, the oatmeal raisin cookies taste like the ones one makes at home - and they were not overly sweet . Perfect. The service was friendly, helpful and kind. Will go back - when in the area - and look forward to the cinnamon buns next - they were already sold out for the day and we were there before noon!”

“4 of us went there last week (2 from Comox and 2 from Nanaimo) and the food was incredible. Everyone really enjoyed their meal. We just wish we weren’t so rushed, it really took away from our night out. We were told we only had 1.5 hrs which was no problem. She reminded us continuously throughout the meal and after an hr asked us if we were ready for our bill. We told her we were thinking about having a dessert (which was pre-made) and she sighed and looked at her watch! She brought the dessert and we scarfed it so fast and just got out of there. We tipped well because who knows if the pressure was coming from the kitchen, but we left with 20 mins to spare and a whole lot of empty tables there. Recommend if you aren’t meeting others and are in a hurry.”

“First time there tonight July 1-2023to celebrate birthdays. Alley the owner was so gracious and had the best personality!! The food was absolutely delicious! We started with crab cakes they were so good! Then I had the seafood pasta the amount of scallops prawns was awesome they definitely weren't skimpy on the seafood and the presentation was great! Then the dessert we had a free birthday dessert which was the sticky date pudding with vanilla ice cream! The service was good, friendly, fast and the establishment was clean! Highly recommend this place ❤️”

“We have been living in Campbell River for over a year now and have not found a good pizza. Poppa's was recommended by a friend in Parksville. We were here for a week and tried it. OMG!!! It is the best pizza we have ever had anywhere! The flavors, amounts of toppings and the tons of cheese. One slice is a meal but we had 2 each. Yes it was that great! We purchased one to take back home to freeze. Every trip to Parksville will be a Poppa's Pizza!🥰”

“Hidden gem! Absolutely excellent food, this place has been one of my favourites spots for take out since I came to live in Parksville. There isn’t a bad thing on the menu and it’s all such a great value. My usual go to are the Salad Rolls with the incredible peanut sauce and their trusty House Special Rare Beef Noodle Pho. Can’t wait to go back as a treat again soon. Excellent work Saigon Garden!”

“I've been a customer here for my whole adult life. This place feels like coming home to me. The staff is always warm and welcoming, they always remember my order and what I like to drink. Yes the place has gone through its changes, and we all adjust. Still a great place! (honestly I'm happy about no more karaoke, Just trying to enjoy my drink while my eardrums getting busted out by people who think they can sing...go to the Legion guys)The bartenders are always watchful, and swiftly and quietly usher out the riff raff. The waitresses are pleasant every time, always a welcoming smile, and are quick to come with food and drinks. They are very attentive to their tables, I never have a complaint. The food is always amazing, kudos to those cooks in that hot kitchen. While it used to be quite the bumping place on the weekends, covid has really quieted it down. I recommend the Rod & Gun. It's a pub, and if you prefer pubs over taphouses like I do, you'll really enjoy this place. See you guys soon!”
