This Pho 99 location is simple, relatively quiet, and a great place to go when you’re not looking for anything too over the top. There usually isn’t any wait to be seated.
I would recommend their House Special. It is really filling and warming on a cold day. Their lemongrass chicken rice is also good, but I think the pho is the better deal.

Pho 99 Vietnamese Restaurant on North Road in Coquitlam is a typical Vietnamese spot that's been around for decades. Nothing has changed here since 20 years ago, which is not necessarily a bad thing. The food is always delicious, and the quality is pretty decent. The broth could be warmer in some opinions, but the Sate Pho is made properly with a rich broth, coconut milk, chili, peanut butter, lemongrass, and warming spices—highly recommended. Portions were big, though some regulars noted the price has increased while the portion has decreased. It is a good place to grab something late at night. Service was okay, though one visit had no depth or flavour to the broth and a bad batch of wontons. Overall, it remains just as good as it was the first time for long-time customers.
