We just went to the Waves on Hastings. Great service and even better coffee! We are only in town for a night but I will be stopping on my way to the airport tomorrow.
The location on Shaughnessy St in PoCo is awful. The owner frequently gets drink orders wrong and then either blames the customer or the staff, and during the May Day parade yesterday a crowd of people saw him try and kick an elderly woman out of one of their chairs on the sidewalk because she hadn't bought anything from them. Miserable man, overpriced coffee. Not worth it.
We went for breakfast. Sausages took a bite, and it was cold. The sausage patty was cold. It just tasted horrible and gross made me want to puke !
