Ordered Unagi Don, which they do just right. Many other places drown the dish in overly sweet sauce, but Peekaboo knows balance and I can actually still taste the fish. Also appreciate the included tamagoyaki - super even color/texture and balanced sweet/savory.
I ordered takeout from here. This was my first time trying oyakodon, then I also ordered the chef special sushi, which was a surprise. The staff was welcoming and the order was very fast, 20 minutes. The employee was also mindful to ask if I would like chopsticks.Every bite was a flavor sensation! The oyakodon chicken was so soft and there was a savory sauce with tasty onions and egg. Small and cozy Japanese bistro restaurant with excellent food, wide range of menu and reasonable price. It is a hidden gem in Tsawwassen. It is a wonderful place for solo, or just small group of 4 or less as the space is small and can't fit for larger groups.
